I am thinking about removing mine and adding the heater hose, so this post scares me. My **** is already load as hell with all the tubular suspension lol.

Are you sure that the noise wasnt there before? From what i heard doing the heater hose is suppose to prevent the noise from being there.

I just did it to my car and I don't have any sqeaks from it. Worse comes to worst just spray some lithium grease on it.

I know for sure the noise wasn't there prior, I did install Koni SA's at the same time. I didn't notice the noise after the install but I did after a few hard launchs at the track and now it is freakin annoying driving on the street.

Did you leave an inch or so of extra hose on the end of the coil? Sounds like you still have metal to metal contact.

I didn't... hmm i'll have to get under there and look at what's goin on, I was thinkin it might have been the nut on the shocks had loosened up or i didn't tighten it enough but that sounds more likely.

I did it, black 5/8 inch heater hose from O Rileys, couldn't tell any difference inside the car. wound the hose down pretty far and left some hanging on the end. great cheap mod

I posted late last year about the same thing.........it appears with the isolators removed the spring can move around somewhat on the lower axle support causing some squeaking in my case when the axle loads up under turning or acceleration. This spring I plan on trying some lithium grease on the lower spring support.

It's heater hose, plain ole simple heater hose. Any parts store will sell it it to you.

You are removing the thick stock rubber isolater on top of both rear springs like in the pic below and replacing it with a length of 5/8" heater hose to lower the back of the car about a 1/2" to 3/4". That way you can keep the nice smooth stock springs and still get a small drop for a just a few bucks.
