Are you trying to make the car handle or set it up for drag racing? If you're trying to set it up for both, you're setup will be a compromise because the setups are somewhat opposite as far as anti-roll bars go.

Sam Strano makes a nice matched 35mm/22mm hollow set of sway bars for handling, and are less expensive than the Hotckhis bars. The Hotchkis are larger on both ends at 36.5mm/24mm hollow and most agree that the 24mm on the rear is usually too much bar. Hollow bars are nice to save weight, but you could substitute a slightly smaller diameter 21mm solid bar on the rear if you had access to one. Suspension Tecnhiques does make a 35mm solid front bar, but the thing is very heavy and I'd opt for hollow just to save weight.

For pure drag racing, you would want a large rear bar and probably disconnect the front bar when you're at the track. It all depends on what you're trying to do, but for a "handling car", Sam's setup is pretty nice.

How about mine? $379 for the pair. My bars are both hollow. Front is a 35mm, rear is a 22mm. Weight is about 16 pounds less than a set of solid 32/22's like Spohn's, and the front offers greater roll stiffness too (significant amounts).

Many folks have my bars, and mine are the only ones that are actually used to compete and win handling events. I specified the sizing myself, commissioned the bars to be made, speced the endlink strength, and have used them to win two of my National Championships.

And I thought you said you weren't a good salesperson.

I have Sam's 35mm bar waiting to go in this weekend. Black powdercoated, all new poly bushings and hardware included. Very nice piece.

www.stranoparts.com or 800-729-1831 (which might be best if you have any questions).

Sams bar's rock. And as you can see He is the only one that speced them out to be made and giving you advice on them. He is a great guy to deal with.

I love swaybars best mod for an fbody IMHO.

My digital camera is busted, I don't have any. Really not much different to look at than the stock bars, but for the shiny black powdercoating and different sizing. But maybe someone has pics....

For the fronts, both Hotchkis and Strano have excellent pieces. The rears however, I would leave alone if you're only going for a mild canyon-carving type build. But Sam's bars are hands-down the best on the rear.

Being that jimmyblue has them on his vert I believe I am going to add those sway bars to the list of things for me. How do you like the setup with the "sloppiness" of the vert?
