UMI Panhard bar install - with PICS!
The Shade tree mechanic strikes again.
(this is pretty much a visual explanation of the directions UMI gives you.)
I jacked the car up and put the stand on the frame in front of the LCA's.
Grabbed a can of wd40 and sprayed down both ends of the panhard bar.
I then used 1/2 inch wrench with 11/16 and 13/16 sockets to take the bolts out.
After I got the nuts off, the bolts needed a little persuasion to come out.
(the jack is not supporting the weight of the rear end, just there for piece of mind.)
UMI- on car adjustable panhard vs. stock.
I then greased up the poly bushing with the supplied lube.
And then put it on but did not tighten it down because I didn't want bushing preload before the car was set onto the ground.
I moved the jack stands and placed it under the axles and then tightened the bolts.
Removed the jack stands and measured to see which way I needed to move my axle to align the rear end.
Adjusted it about a half inch, moving the axle to the passenger side. Once I had it where I wanted it I tightened down the nuts on the adjustable portion of the panhard bar and I was done.
Forgot to mention to pump 1 1/2 pumps of grease into the poly end. DO NOT OVER DO IT!
Install time was about a half hour.
That concludes this portion of shade tree mechanic 101.
GREAT product Ryan!

The more i drive it the more I'm surprised in how stable the car feels now when I give it hell as i take a corner. No side skipping on the ragged edge feel. The stock panhard bar REALLY SUCKS compared to this.
Next weekend I get my UMI SFC's and LCA relocation brackets installed. After that I will get some LCA's from Ryan.

No problem, I actually like doing the write ups. They give me a good reference and reminder of what i have done. Just wish i had one place to put them all.
Just measure both sides from the inner tire to the deepest part of the fender well.
