Default Drum brakes suck.

I understand some F-Bodies actually came with drums in the rear.

I don't understand how you guys could deal with them. I just had to work on the ones on my RoadMaster, and all I can say is that automotive evolution should have just skipped them and went straight to discs.

I think only the 93-97 v6 got drum rears. Drums have been around forever, but disc has too. It saved them money so they did it lol.

My 87 with a v8 came with rear drums. I was pissed when I saw this 77 mercedes my dad got had 4 wheel discs

They make larger drum brakes then disc. Hence, drums have more stopping power. Alum drums were the racers choice

My '88 TA had aluminum drum brakes in the rear. Swapped the rear out for an LS1 rear/brakes setup

No sir, gave them to a friend when I swapped in the LS1 rear long long ago.

Hey, the heaviest vehicles on the road (80K lbs) use drum brakes!!!

Correct drums came on the V6 cars from 93-97...sucks...

LS1 brakes soon
