Default Car Sways in the back

I have BMR non-adjustable LCA’s and PHB. The car feels like it has a slight sway in the rear at highway speeds. (65+ MPH) The rest of the suspension is factory. If you have ever driven a small pick-up with a heavy load in the back, that is about what it feels like. Thanks for any input.

Have you checked your hardware to make sure everything is tight? Check your end links on the rear sway bar.

I'd start with a couple more PSI in the tires.

Pressure is good in the tires and they are Nitto 275/40's. Definetly not the tires. I'll check the other stuff, thanks.

Well, I know with my 285/40 GS-D3s they get all squirmy like
that if I run at 30PSI, but tighten up nicely at 34PSI (which
is more than recommended). "Good" is a sliding scale.

What size is the rim? I know on my little 17+8's it was fine with a 245/255 tire. I stepped up to 275 and the *** end got more unstable...

a little more psi may help, but with a well damped rear end, good lca bushings and positive sway bar function 32/29psi in a good tire is also recommended. Make sure your panhard bar is in good shape.

I have 32 psi at all corners and the rims are 9 1/2. I'll be checking the LCA's and PHB this afternoon.

I had the same problem before. All my hardware for the LCA's and PHR was tight, tires were proper psi, etc. It felt scary to drive on the highway. I bought a Spohn sway bar (only like $150 IIRC) and it fixed it right up.

yes, bigger sways and new bilstein HD shocks were my first two mods and they fixed the icky feeling in the back.

You probably would want to get third gen. rear bilstein shocks as they are valved better.
