That is absolutely gorgeous.

How available are the pads/rotors to replace? Obviously you cant expect the rotors/pads to last forever.

Also to bring it up again- did you do any stopping tests? Are the brakes now signifigantly more powerful than the traction your tires can provide? Does this hinder the operation of the stock ABS system?

And once again- absolutely gorgeous car/brake setup. I love it and I dont normally like the look of LT1 transams.

EDIT
I think this should be added into a sticky/made a sticky.

Different brake setups and what they look like. or something like that

Thanks for the props man.

The pads I bought are Hawk HPS pads and they are easily obtainable. The rotors should last a long time, but of course they will eventually have to be replaced. There are several aftermarket companies making them now and new ones can also be purchased through GM.

I didn't do any before and after measurements of stopping distance. (though I wish i would've)
The braking is 100X better during normal driving than the old setup was. The car stops effortlessly and the brakes don't fade away on hard stops. Of course, during panic stops the tires are the limiting factor.
And the abs still works fine and is unaffected by this swap.

As soon as I can figure out how. I'm not sure it can be done without switching to an LS1 rear. If anyone knows how to put C5/C6 rear brakes on let me know.

About a half a day. That's with me taking my time. It's a very straight forward swap.

If you use GM rotors you have to becareful with the C6 setup. I guess whoever made them only made a left side, so the right side is vented wrong and will overheat.

That setup looks sick. You are suppose to be able to use the C5 Z06 on the rears with no problems. There's several threads about it. There are alot of people who say it won't work but there are several who have done it.

Theres a guy on here with a 94 that has the rears..

same place you got the front brackets has the rear ones, its for the 10/12 bolt

I am going to be doing the same conversion on my 98 camaro and Im not 100% sure I needed the rear bracket or if the e-brake will work after but it was cheap enough that I ordered one anyways

Awesome!! THANKS!! I hadn't noticed those brackets on there. I guess that will be my next upgrade. I already have the rotors and pads, just been putting off buying the calipers until I was sure it would work.

How is your spoke clearance compared to your LT1 caliper? I was thinking of doing the same setup but not sure the calipers will clear my spokes on my wheels.

I'm running a small spacer and there still is no spoke clearance. It's VERY close. There aren't many wheels that will work with this setup but fortunately mine did with the spacer. I won't be able to do the rear brakes though after all because of the offset of the rear wheels.
If you go to Kore3's website, in the tech section you can get the measurements to verify it will work with your wheels.
