Put the "ears" on with the nuts as loose as possible. Then get
the cross bolts in, second one may need a pilot like a Philips
driver. When the cross bolts are set then dog down the ear
nuts.

I had to elongate the mounting holes and use some washers to change the angle to push the "ears" outward to get the bar to fit. Even then, I still had to pry it on.

I have to pry it with my largest screwdriver every time I put it back on.

My lt1 car (bmr brace) would barley fit due to the AC lines and had to use the fancy wrenches to get it...on the ls1 the same stb works great and is easy take on and off.

My UMI STB "clicks" right into place in my car. In fact, it damn near falls in place but for the last 1/4 inch or so I have to push it on. No prying or anything needed.
