This is a vague question overall. There's lots of different rod end types out there. What you do with the car will effect your response.

I voted for the 4th choice

Your using alum. correct? Doesnt that sound weak for a control arm? Then agian chromoly cracks too easy. Its kinda fragile. I'd love to have LCAs and Panhard rod tho

Yup we are. My guy has used these pieces for 10 years in racing and some off-roading applications and hasn't had a problem.

DKT has been using them for 3 years and no problem alum is great.

bowtiekid, you asked doesn't that sound weak. will look at it this way. chromoly is rated at 45K tensile strenght. and good alum(2024) is rated at 65K tensile strenght.

so let me ask you. does that sound weak?

mark,
can i ask what type of alum it is. if you want to you can just pm me. and what is your OD of tube. and what size are rod ends.

not to say your stuff looks bad. i just want to know. from the pic it looks little smaller then most places that make alum stuff.

thanks

No problem bud, I'll find out for you... Here you go:

6061-T6 aluminum tubing
Gold anodized
1" O.D. Tubing

Also I know the rod ends are beefier than most. Jameel (the builder) says smaller is actually plenty strong but he still goes with the beefier ends just so customers feel it is safer...

Yeah, shoot me a PM... I haven't got pricing on anything yet but am ready to just short cut him and build my own.

I should be able to get parts wholesale through the business, assemble and offer good parts cheap as heck for you guys...

Hey Big Bird, where did you get those poly style rod ends?

And how are you supposed to properly "maintain" a rod end? Mine don't have any greese fittings like yours.

To stay on topic they are loud as hell over any kind of bump. People always look at me like the car is about to fall apart when they ask about them.
