Default C5 brake upgrade help

Ok i am alil confused here. On a 99 ss i am looking to upgrade the brakes, after reading a few threads here i see where some have said to use the Camaro Cailper and the vette rotors and then pick a pad to match what i am going to do. Will i be ok to buy the abutment bracket and mounting hardware new rotors and reuse my cailper. Also what is the stock size Camaro rotor size and what is the vette size. anyone have any pics of them side by side

The Vette rotor is about an inch larger than the F-body one. You can reuse your old calipers and pads. Its actually better on the street to reuse your calipers because the have larger pistons and will grap a tad harder and keep the front/rear bias a little more favorable. The Vette calipers are better for the track because they are pressure cast rather than gravity cast and won't spread as easily under repeated heavy braking.

All you really need is the mounting bracket and some Vette replacement rotors.

If you buy vette abutment brackets you will need vette pads which are a tad larger. YOu can still use f-body calipers with this set up.

Well thanks you 2 for the info, but now i have one more question. Sorry for all the ?? so i can run stock cailpers, Vette brake rotors, and if i run the abutment brackets then ill have to get pads for a C5 Vette. is the z06 pad or normal vette pads or are they the same size?
thanks
