As far as SFC's I would have to recommend the ones I make.
Others make good products as well.

i dont blame ya mitch, me and you both have run just about EVERY brand made. we also are one of the few people here who have enough track time to help someone figure out an issue w/ handling. and the majoraty here will flame you if you dont tell them what they WANT to hear.
as for NVMySS - you havent stated what you USE the car for. all street, Auto-X, track days, drag? untill you give us some info on your intended use, we cant really help.
Sphon = drag
BMR = cheap drag/street/mod list filler
LG = street/road racing/auto-x
GW = same as above

if you want advice for auto-x or road racing, go to LS1.com's Auto-X/road racing forum.

I drive the car daily, but not so much right now because Im sick of driving standard, but anyway, when I complete my conversion (M6 to 200-R4), I plan to take it to the track more often. (at least twice a month) I want the car to handle well at the track, but I dont want to add too much noise. I dont mind a little, but if that makes up for the performance outcome, then thats ok. When I first started thinking of modding my suspension, I had Hotchkis in my mind and Hotchkis only. Reason being, is because that was the only popular suspension brand that I knew of, but that was way back when. Then I considered BMR because it too was very popular. Lastly, Spohn came about because Im going to be using one of the torque arms. When I look at BMR and Spohn, they pretty much look the same, so I cant see how there could be any difference. But since a couple of you have had experience with all of the suspension brands, then maybe one of you can fill me in on what the differences are. Thanks so much.

NVMySS, if one does a search on your username, one will find you have asked this basic question many times and it's been answered with opinions just as many.

I'm not sure what it is you want to hear.

Hey, mitch I for one value your inputs a great deal. As I do trackbird's and a handful of others on this forum. The fact is that you have firsthand experience and it shows. Don't let the b.s. get to you

I dont mean to ask so many dang questions or **** anyone off because I know that questions are brought up all the time over and over. I dont quite know how to use the search feature as I did with the old site, but believe me Ive tried and I cant seem to find anything. I think the new search feature sucks, or maybe its me and I just dont know how to use it yet. Anyhow, when I do take it to the track, I mean the 1/4 mile track. Im not going to compete, just to see what I can run and if I can make any improvements to get better times. I want to try and accomplish that the first few times without having to make so many changes or spending too much money. Thats the reason for me asking so many questions so that Im not out of any money because I go out and buy something without researching it. But when I do run it at the track I look at everything. (1/8, 1/4, 60 ft., reaction time, ETs, etc.) The reason why I deleted my post was because I wanted to save everyone the grief from all my questions. Im sorry that Im getting on this board and doing what its intended for and then a couple of you have to bash my posts and jump all over my case for asking dumb repetetive questions.

I'd use upgraded LCA's (I like Heim/heim or hiem/poly....but you can use poly/poly for this application...if you really want to).

I'd use relocation brackets, they will make the most improvement for the money (for drag use).

Subframe connectors and a strut tower brace (to eliminate any "twist" that you can).

After that, it will be drag shocks and maybe an airbag if needed (later on).

Just my thoughts....

The reason why I deleted my post was because I wanted to save everyone the grief from all my questions
I don't get upset, if I was worried about any of it, I could just leave. I agree with Mitch, we have all answered these questions in some form or another before. That's ok, as long as we are starting to refine the questions each time. This time we managed to learn that it is a drag racing application...that changes things. You'll see that you are getting slightly different answers for that use (I actually said you can use poly/poly bushings....and I hate those things....).

Im sorry that Im getting on this board and doing what its intended for and then a couple of you have to bash my posts and jump all over my case for asking dumb repetetive questions.
We hang out here, because we want to and to answer questions...at least I am. I have learned many useful things over the years and if I can save someone time and money, I don't mind doing that. I do find it frustrating sometimes (in general....not directed specifically at you) to keep answering the same question from 12 different people....sometimes posted right in a row or the same question every 2 weeks from a person for 6 months...but, everyone has to learn. There is much good advice on this board, and we can "talk car parts forever", but there comes a time when you finally have to jump in and spend some money (start slow). For anything you buy and don't like, there is always Ebay. The best way to learn what you like is to see what works for others that you trust and give something a try. Even if you are not perfectly happy, you will at least learn something in the process. I don't think anyone minds answering questions, as long as it seems like folks are paying some attention and asking "better questions" each time. The learning curve can be expensive....that's the nature of the hobby.

Just more of my thoughts.

Well then, let me spoon feed you one more time ...

Click on "Search"
Select the "Category", "Department" or "Forum" you want to search (a drop box)
The word(s) to search on (I used "NVMySS"
Select "Search Options" ... (I selected "By Display Name")
Select "Date Range" ... (I used "3 months")
Click "Submit"

These are some examples ....

Nineteen threads in 3 months asking about which SFCs, STBs, LCAs, PHB and TA to buy.

All those questions, asked and answered since May 1st. There is enough information in those threads to compile an encyclopedia on suspension parts for F-Bodys, suspension physics, polymer elasticity, quantam physics and the mysteries of the black hole.

Now this thread ...

https://ls1tech.com/threads/showflat...;Number=390684

I answered your question ...

I havent looked at my caliper just yet to see all what I can do as far as taking them apart goes, but I just wanted to know if thats a good idea or not? Is it hard to take them apart? Is it worth it? Will I have to buy anything once I removed it?

by sending you to www.installuniversity.com where it outlines HOW to do exactly that, the part numbers of parts needed to rebuild the calipers and given enough information to conclude ...
Hell yes, you gotta take all the rubber out of the caliper before powder coating and then rebuild them.

Then you responded with ...

I will have to tear them down before I drop them off. Will I have to buy a rebuild kit for the calipers once they are disassembled? Or will I be able to reuse everything that came off? If I do have to buy a rebuild kit, where can I get one? How much am I looking at for the kit anyway? Where can I find a how to write up on how to disassemble and reassemble a caliper? Thanks

That tells me you never clicked on the link to installuniversity.com and never took the time to research what needed to be done. You want to be spoon fed information ... and then question or discount that info when offered.

Like I said before ...

I'm not sure what it is you want to hear.

If I sound like I'm ragging your ***, I am. My *** was ragged ... so I'm passing along the same.

Damn dude, you must be in a bad mood or got ragged on recently because I jump in with just one more question and youre all over my *** like flies on ****! If you didnt want any part of this thread as far as answering some of my questions thats fine, but when you come in and bite my head off, I find it kind of rude knowing that I never did a damn thing to you. I see several questions brought up numerous times throughout the sections of this board and yeah it may be a little annoying, but its no reason to get all bent out of shape. Simply reply with do a searh or answer the question in the best way you can. But if you feel that you should take no part in the thread/post, then dont bother. About the caliper deal, I did take a look at the site a while back when I was working on them and yeah youre right, I didnt look at them carefully, I just scrolled through there because I was such in a hurry because I had an appointment with Allied Powdercoating and they dont do red so often, so I had to get in there now, or not for a while. Anyhow, it came down to last few days and yeah I winded up reading it thoroughly and saw that you did have to disassmeble them and it explained how. But anyway, enough with this. I surely dont want to **** you off again dragging this reply out saying too much. Hope you have a better day and you get over the fact that you got ragged on. I just feel its childish that you have to have revenge and pass it along. I know you made me feel like a total dumbass and embarassed me , but if I have done this to you, I apologize. Have a great day!

No ... don't apologize ...

Read those threads ... thread all started by you answering the same 3 or 4 questions over and over and over ...

It can only 1 of 3 things going on ...

Either
You aren't reading the responses
You don't believe the responses
You don't understand the responses
