Hello everyone. I was hopeing I might be able to get some suggestions here on replacement rotors. I have a 2002 Firehawk and the rotors are warped. I had this same problem on my 99 RamAir and had them turned, and turned , until I sold the car.
I dont race it, and I dont take it to the tracks. I do occassionaly run it like it was built to be with occasional hard breaking. I have about 15k Miles onit and the rotors are warping more and more. Im considering replaceing them instead of haveing them turned. Can anyone suggest some decent raplacements?
Thanks

Trackbird makes a very good recommendation. If you have your rotors turned, all you're doing is taking off material, weakening the rotor for future use. It'll warp quicker next time, if you just have it turned.
I ended up getting the JC Whitney (Rototech) Rotors, which are cross drilled and slotted, and I haven't had any problems with mine (only been on for 3000 miles). They're about the same price as the Brembo's, but the down side is your fronts won't match the rears. I don't THINK Rototech makes any rear rotors.

The Eradispeeds get my vote as the most expensive replacement rotor....
I abuse the Brembo OEM's with full race compound pads. I get about 18,000 street miles out of a set of pads (less for autocross/track time) and the rotors are worn below spec (the last set was 26mm thick, the minimum thickness is supposed to be 30.5mm and they still didn't warp and I got them very hot). So, replacement cost on eradispeeds is not even a consideration with my wear rate and useage. I am sure that my pads and rotors will out brake stock/street compound pads with Eradispeed rotors any day (by the 5th or so stop from 100 mph). Baer makes a good product, it just seems like they charge an incredible amount of money for pretty rotors. But, if it is in your budget, they are a good product....
Just my thoughts.....

I got the Autozone Aimcos after Mitch suggested them. I also got some Raybestos Ceramic Pads to go with them, and I am extremely happy. Only time the car is driven is to race, and the rotors have been through a countless amount of 100+mph stops and even some 150+mph stops without any sign of warpage. I've had them for about 10K miles. Not bad considering they only cost $38 a piece. Good Luck.

Hi there WonBadHawk, go to www.stoptech.com and you'll find what you need. You can also call them, based in California, and they'll tell you about warp rotors that happens to alot of GM cars and trucks under 20k miles. I choose stoptech power slotted rotors and Hawk pads. Good luck.
