Default spongy brake pedal!!! help please

ok i have a strange master and no abs no power brakes because i have no booster anymore. i have aerospace front and rear brakes. i think the drag set up. i ran mostly new lines.

my problem is that the first couple pumps go to the floor then it builds pressure. it will hold if i hold the pedal. so there is no drop in pressure, but if i let off the brake and go to hit it again i have to pump the pedal like 1 and a half times to build up pressure. I BLED THE BRAKES TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO AIR IN THE LINES.

anyone have any advice to help or has anyone else have this problem

thanks
cliff

Did you adjust the rod coming from the pedal? If you have the rod adjusted to where the pedal is low it will take a few pumps to get pressure up. If thats the case adjust it out a few turns then try it again. But you want a happy medium cause if you go too far then you will hit the brakes once and the pedal will keep pressure on the brakes. If that happens you'll just have to crack a bleeder open and release the pressure and try again.

I would try adjusting the pedal, but there could still be air in the lines. Is the master cylinder brand new? if it is or not, that might be the problem.
