FS or Trade: 98 Trans Am Back up for sale!!! Make offers, need this car gone. Getting close to race season. I know someone wants a cheap toy!!
I am going to try to sell my 98 Trans AM or Trade for something a little more drivable on the street. This car started out as a weekend driver and I went a little to far with the project. I am wanting a car that i can drive again and thought about going backward with this car, but it would be easier to let someone finish my project and get another car to not go so far with. Body and paint are in very good shape. Will need new carpet since i cut the back half after installing the cage. Front half of carpet and the seats are in very good shape as well as the door panels and bottom of dash. Needs a new top dash piece and shifter console has been cut to fit the shifter. I am going to start at $10,000 just because i really dont know what this car will go for. If you have something you want me to consider for trade please just let me know. Here is the parts list of what is on the car.
TH 350 Tranny - fresh rebuild with the 32 element sprag drum, hardened input and out shafts, foward shift full manual valve body, hurst quarter stick shifter, Hughs flex plate, TCI 4000 convertor, Trans temp gauge inside the dash. There are only about 10 passes on the entire tranny setup.
LS1 motor with unknown miles. Odometer reads 155,000 miles. 853 heads with a mild port and polish - Stock valves, 78MM Fast intake, small cam(226,228, 578/578) decent lope, Pacesetter heads with bullets dumped, 42 lbs injectors, aftermarket lid(painted red to match valve covers and fuel rail).
Suspension - QA1 12 way single adjustable front and back. 275 front springs and stock rear. Wolfe single drag bar out back. Custom short torque arm that is mounted to the body. Body welded Sub frame connectors and a wolfe 6 pointe cage that was tig welded in the car and painted to match color of car.
9" Mosser rear end. 33 Spline axles into a Mosser Spool with 4.33 gears with the billet aluminum 1350 ujoint coupler. Strange cromoly 3.5" diveshaft.
Summit stars on the front with Hoosier skinnies and M/T ET streets out back on stock rims. Still have the front stock rims with street tires. All tires still have plenty of tread.
ABS delete kit with line lock and rear proporting valve.
Entire A/C and heater has been deleted from car. Behind the dash has been gutted but no wires have been cut. Doors still lock, and windows still roll up. Everything inside the car still works as it should. Even has a working Alpine radio. Car weights 3200 by itself. For someone looking for a race car this is for you. Last time out to the track the car ran 7.4 1/8 mile and 11.6 1/4, which is not super fast for a track only car, but i never got around to the motor. Small heads and small cam made good power in this combo, but with the right motor combination this car is already set up. I have invested a lot of time and money in this car, and there is still some stuf that needs to be completed, but after my divorce i just dont have the time, place, or money to make this car what i want. I just want something i can have a little fun on the street again. I am sure i have left some things out but if you have any questions please send me a message and i will answer for you. Back to top. Anybody even care to make an offer. Again I was not sure what this car would sell for so i started a little on the high side. Make me an offer or let me know what you might want to trade!!!

OK, I have lowered the asking price to start at $8000.00 after doing some research. I have also thought about maybe parting the car and offering the motor/tranny with computer and wiring harness, and a roller with all the good parts, or maybe even stripping all the good parts off the car, putting most of the stock stuff back on and selling the car pretty cheap and selling the good parts individually. if you are interested in any of the parts on the car or want to persuade me on the motor/tranny or roller let me know what you have to offer?

Alright, trade is off once again. I think i am going to start parting this thing out. Shocks and the hood are probly accounted for already. I would like to sell the rear end with the drive shaft since the tranny yoke and pinion yoke are set up for the 1350 U-Joint already. Would like to get $1500.00 for complete rear end with all new brakes and driveshaft with all new 1350 U-Joints plus your stock rear with drive shaft. Might sell the motor and tranny seperate from the body if i have 2 different people wanting each. I am going to be looking for a stock trottle body and stock LS1 intake so i can take the 78MM fast and ported TB with the 42 Bls. injectors off and sell those also. I have a spare set of 3.73 gears for the rear that will whine a little but they will go with the rear. If there is something on the car you see that you might want let me know. thanks

Lowered the price again to $6000.00. If i dont have any interest from a buyer or a trade, i will start stripping parts off this weekend, and the car will be be mostly stock except the exhuast, cam, 350 tranny, and the cage inside the car.
