Default SOLD::240/244 cam . ran 6.56 at 104 in eighth mile stock ls1

Im selling the 240/244 cam from my ls1.

in my ls1 with stock unworked heads and victor jr intake it was good for a best of 6.56 N/A in the eighth mile, NATURALLY ASPIRATED!!!

it is not a daily driver cam by any means but it makes sick power.
similar to a vindicator cam but more lift. It fits without any flycutting as long as heads are not milled.

.608/.612
x-er lobes

Im asking $240 for quick sale

My 2700 pound mustang went 6.9 at 100 mph with a 6.0 lq4. The gearing was 3.73s and a converter on the tight side. So I'm not sure if a camaro that's heavier, with less cubes, less head flow, could trap that speed. NA anyway.

hehe. methanol fuel, 4.86 gears, 5300 stall , and 7200rpm shift points does wonders for e.t and mph.

anyhow, the cam is $$$$$OLD!!!!

thanks all

Lq4 have low compression.

Compression is worth more than head flow in a milder motor app like this.

Not to mention he has a bigger cam, and gears and stall that match.

4mph comes pretty easy when you can go from mismatched to optimized.

dont compare a highly unoptimized street/strip car(3.73s and a tight converter) with a fairly optmized race car on methanol.

my car 60 ft a best of 1.37 N/A. And if you want to get mind blown, it ran 6.41 with stock untouched 862 heads at 11:1 compression.

If the car was gutted I could have more belief. My car has a trex, going to a 4400 converter and 4.10s for a reason but if that car was 3600 lbs, I don't believe it. My heads flow better and are milled .040. I even cleaned up the ports.

Did this car have a Trans brake?

my car is not 3600 lbs. its a 3rd gen nova. and yes, it has a transbrake.

now lets ask the more pertinent question. why, at 2700lbs, is your car only running 6.90s at 100mph?

wallace eighth mile calc puts that at 415hp for et and 440 hp for MPH. FLYWHEEL. you would agree that this is super low.

for comparison, martin at tick went 6.37 at 106 NA, at 2950 lbs , which is
577hp for et and 573hp for mph,

so you are down 162 hp for e.t and 133hp for mph.

something is going on there.

There is the info I was looking for. I knew it was not a full weight foot brake 4th gen.

And my car was 2700 pounds before my 325 lbs got in the seat and has since recieved more weight from anti roll bar, interior, ect. Don't be engine calculator *****.

A tight converter and 3.73s was holding back, cut and dry. Revmax converters work as a converter but not as a race converter. That's why circle D will be building my next one.

Thanks for clarifying the info, much more understandable.
