Wtb Turd gen

I've got a 1990 formula 350 with an LT1 style T56 in it. It's nodded with suspension stuff but engine is stock. Right now it's sitting on black TTM 's 10.5's with 315's in the back. My plan is to return it 100% to stock besides the 6 speed. Body is great has one little dent. Clear coat is peeling in a few spots...will need attention at some point there. I can give you a much more thorough rundown if there is interest but I will not be giving it away. GTA's are going for $8k with 100k on them. Mine should not be that far behind plus the $5k in mods if you wanted those.

No...have you been living under a rock? Prices on third gens are going up. Problem is most of them are junk but the ones that have been taken care of, are starting to fetch more money. I've seen 305 cars going for $4-$5k in good shape. The 350's are bringing more.

I am not trying to say what each car is worth but the black third gen bird on Houston craigslist has been on there for sale for a very long time for around that money. Just because people are asking stupid money for things doesn't mean they are getting it. Just because it sold when the asking price was absurd doesn't mean the buyer paid that. I just sold a beautiful 90' model Camaro with a LS1 swap already in it for 6500.
It was a race car but could have easily been put back on the street.

Yeah people are asking stupid prices for turds. No offense but i frankly hate them. They creak, moan and groan like a WW2 vet. Ive owned dozens of them one of which was my first car. I know what they are going for and willing to wait for a good deal. Buddy picked up a Blue IROC for 2200 with a T5 and TPI. Im not looking for modded as i plan to do a 5.3, 80E or 6L80E, and an 8.8. If anyone has a cleanish stock one thats what i prefer.

Passed on a couple for 2-3k, so the real prices are out there, but agreed, people have lost their mind on the prices they are asking on these cars. They are well I to LS1 4th gen prices here and there and are not worth it in any way. 305 and 350 TPI engines are slow and junk. Especially for us guys wanting LS swap cars.

Depends on how nice of a car you are looking for. You can't rebuild one that cheap with paint and everything. Uncracked dashpad. Perfect interior. Still smells new.
What headers do you have NemeSS?

I haven't seen any in the 8k range, that better under 50k in miles. Prices are going up for "good" ones, it's only fair if it's that nice. Ls1 cars are dropping too just have to deal with, insurance company wanted to total a ss because it got keyed. Nice third gen bodies are hard to find just have to keep looking although I will say the 90-92s are a little more solid.

Yeah I'm really looking for an IROC and before I was looking passed by dozens. I'm sure in a decade they will be worth more but not right now. I'm bummed I actually have to pay money for one. I can't count how many I've crushed, given away, gotten included in deals and let rot in a field. Not interested in restoring one so looking for one in ok shape.

You should be able to get a deal on a 305 car. I think we paid 6k for our Iroc but it is insanely clean.
Looking at picking up a 15th anniversary TA this week.
I think the guy in my hood still has the 85 Recaro but I tried to put someone from here in contact with him and his price went from 5500 to 7500 in a hurry.
If I were building a LS 3rd I would either do a 87-90 GTA or 91-92 Firehawk clone.
Good luck with the search

And here is an example of too much:

Not only did they pick the wrong year to restore, but you cannot remove the frame for the so called "frame off" resto.
