Default 2000 NBM Z28 M6 for sale (The Blue Chariot of Death) **UPDATED PARTS PRICING**

UPDATE: I've had a few people ask for parts off the car. Since the economy has taken a nosedive and people aren't looking to drop $10K on a car right now, this seems like a good idea.

  • I'll sell the car as-is for $9,500 (price is negotiable, if you ask nicely).
  • I'll sell the wheels and tires for $2500 + trade. I'm looking to swap them with stock or near-stock wheels and tires. ZR1s, TT2s, Z06s, etc.
  • I'll sell the rearend for $1500 + trade. Looking for a stock 3-channel rearend with 3.42 gears that is in good working order.

If you're interested in other parts, let me know. Basically, I'm willing to swap parts back to stock to lower the sale price. As I sell off parts, the price of the car will be adjusted accordingly. I don't want to get stuck with parts left over.

Vital stats:
  • 2000 Camaro Z28
  • 6-speed transmission
  • Factory Hurst short-throw shifter
  • ~106,000 miles
  • Navy blue metallic
  • Ebony cloth interior
  • No TCS
  • I'm the original owner. Brought it home on February 29th, 2000.
  • Made 320rwhp on G-Force's dyno (but that was before I had the 12-bolt installed)
  • No issues with passing inspection (just completed)
Worn out items I replaced:
  • Driver's side window motor
  • Battery was purchased less than a year ago
  • Positive battery cable replaced a few months ago
  • Replaced oil pump and pickup o-ring a few years ago with a blueprinted LS6 unit
Known problems:
  • Roof panel is bubbling
  • Small door ding on passenger rear quarter panel (can be repaired with paint-free dent repair)
  • Some very small rock chips on the hood/nose
  • Small spider-webbing in front bumper from where it was repainted several years ago (fender bender)
  • Passenger's side window was replaced a few years ago after it was broken during a break in (not a problem, but wanted to mention it, in the interest of full disclosure). The car was not stolen or damaged (other than the window), just stuff inside of it.
  • Needs license tags (will do this before selling)
  • PAC SWI-X needs to be re-programmed (will do this before selling)
Mods:
  • DPE R05-S wheels - 18x9 front, 18x10 back. To my knowledge, these are the only set of R05-S's in existence for a 4th gen F-body. Purchased earlier this year. Centers are brushed and clearcoated, hoops are polished.
  • Nitto Invos, 275/35/18 front, 295/35/18 rear. Tires have under 3000 miles on them.
  • Chrome Gorilla Lugnuts with five locks per wheel (same key fits all 20). I have the card for the key in the glove compartment.
  • Moser 12-bolt - 31-spline axles, upgraded aluminum cover, 4.10 gears, Detroit TrueTrack. Rearend is painted gloss black and clearcoated.
  • UMI weld-in subframe connectors (powdercoated black)
  • UMI poly/rod-ended lower control arms (powdercoated black)
  • UMI trans-mounted adjustable torque arm (powdercoated black)
  • Poly trans mounts
  • 1LE front swaybar
  • SS shocks and springs (sold my Hotchkis springs and Koni SAs)
  • MTI carbon fiber lid
  • Pacesetter longtube headers
  • TSP catted Y-pipe
  • Magnaflow catback
  • Skip shift eliminator
  • Lloyd's front floormats with Z28 logo
  • Lou's short stick
  • Kenwood KDC MP628 head unit (MP3 playback)
  • Boston Acoustics RX67 front speakers
  • Infinity Reference rear speakers
  • MTX sub in stealth enclosure
  • MTX Thunder 4200 4-channel amp (head unit/speakers)
  • MTX 3002 2-channel amp (sub)
  • PAC SWI-X to run the steering wheel controls
  • G-Force has done a lot of the work on this car, including the tuning.
First, I wanted to get some pictures of the roof bubbles:

Now that we have the bad news out of the way...

Exterior:

The 12-bolt:

Interior:

Stereo:
2-channel amp and sub

4-channel amp

Price: $9,500

The car runs great and (aside from the roof) the exterior is in really good shape. I'm very proud of the car and everything I've done to it, and I always get compliments on it. Anyone who has seen this car up close can attest to the care I've taken with it. It was my daily driver until 2005, so most of the miles are from commuting to and from work.

I'm selling it because my financial situation just changed somewhat drastically - for the better . I took a long look at where I am with the car now and what I still had planned, and decided I would rather sell the car now, while it's running. The next mods on my list were an engine swap, but I've decided to sell it instead, pay off some debts, then buy a new "fun" car.

If you have any questions, please PM me.

-Mike

Thanks for the kind words! I'll be sorry to see it go, but it's going to be an excellent car for someone else.

Give us this day our daily *bump*.

Good luck mike, the car is gorgeous.

I've seen all his threads with how many times he detailed it, he really cares for this car.
I also left a nice little word for you on your thread in Appearance..

I just got back from 4 days in PR, but I didn't see the Chuprokabra

With a user name like that, you deserve a BUMP.

A couple things I forgot to include in my original post.

I have the Helm manuals for this car, which will be included in the sale. I also have the stock LCAs, panhard bar, grille insert/license plate holder, and a couple freshly turned front rotors that I will throw in the car as well. No sense in me keeping this stuff.

Free bump because your car is one of my favorites on Tech.

And because that's a Cavalier in your avatar. DCI's bad *** and the Cavaliers are sick.

Good luck on your sale, sorry to see it go.

I've been right where you are...

Both parties are going to be ahead... the buyer gets a nice LS1 with a 12 bolt/nice wheels and lots of potential on the shortblock as it sits (a buddy's had 190k+ on a heads cam '98 that you'd swear is newly installed stroker, it's just a STRONG 346 with a good cam/heads/headers)

and the seller gets to..... do something else.... ummmm..... hmm.

You're making a mistake Mike!

Anyways, nice ride...

Great car! Love the wheels, of course. Glad you're all the way in TX or I'd never sell mine!
