Any Live 105.3FM fans?
The station just flipped to 105.3 The Fan. The line-up has changed quite a bit. Jagger is still there in the morning, and Ben and Skin are moving to the 3-7 spot. Kevin Scott and Greg Hill? (WTF???) from 11:00-3, and I'm not sure who else after that. Russ Martin is gone. Sucks ***.

Its taken downhill slides since Howard stern switched to satellite...
Jagger was funny at first, but after a while i started to realize how scripted that show is, its like the same thing everyday.
"Mondo you bitch"
"love ya dean"
"Jazmin your hot"
"Jazmin how was your date this weekend"
etc...
Pugs & Kelly ALWAYS sucked!!!
Russ Martin - I used to be part of his colt following & got on air a few times, but I switched to 1310 The Ticket. No matter what time of day your listening, each host is pretty good besides Norm. But I have to admit Russ Martin is the funniest Radio host I've ever heard.
What did happen to Russ? I'm guessing he wasnt going to get a new contract after assaulting his fiance Amy a while back...

I hated Pugs and Kelly, and BDH show sucked *****. Russ was funny as ****, but I hate how radio stations flip the format with absolutely no warning. The show even said something like, "when we get back we'll discuss....etc" and then went off air for 2 hours. When they came back it was the same guys, but a new station name. I had logged onto the Live1053.com site and nothing changed, but I refreshed as soon as they came back onto air, and it had swapped.
I didn't even think about the beating thing, but it's very possible.

I followed Jagger over from the Edge and got hooked on Russ Martin. I used to be a big Jagger fan but everyone on that show gets more and more annoying but I still listen.
The station did a good thing by getting rid of Pugs and Kelly but now Russ is gone! Sucks!!!
I wonder what happened because I thought he had already renewed his contract. Maybe he got some jail time for the beating or maybe the station couldn't afford him anymore after remodeling the studio. Wasn't Gavin saying the other day that they weren't going to have a company Christmas party because times were tough and they couldn't afford it.
Who knows... If he's still around I'm sure he'll pop up on another station.

Russ should have been gone a long time ago. Rehearsed skits are gay. And Tom Leykis is the ******* man!

Should have seen it coming. Ben & Skin came from sports radio. I didn't care for BDH or P&K but I really don't care for Ben & Skin or sports talk radio. Even though the Ben & Skin show is not sports radio, damn near every thing they do has a sports reference. You can bet Jagger is on the way out as soon as they figure a way to get out of his contract. 105.3 was the last thing I listened to OTA. Jagger's 10 minutes commercial breaks and the Ben & Skin show finally pushed me over the edge and I re-activated XM.
Dallas radio pretty much sucks *** anyway unless you want sports radio or Tejano music. Now with the XM/SIRIUS merger, they are even changing what I like on XM. Seems everyone I talk to that has XM or SIRIUS is not real pleased now that the merger has happened. Oh well Life goes on.

I was reading an article a little while ago on msn.com about the format change and it said that he turned down a plea bargain in November and his trial was set for January.

CBS switched the format for the most part and dropped Lykis, whose show was the same thing every damn day and stale. Martin use to be good but I quit listening long ago, he seemed to bitch about the same thing over and over. But he was good about fund raising for the fallen officers, fire fighters, and troops. Oh and the animals.\
1310 AM is way better anyway as far as sports goes and they are funny. except Norm but he is good to actually learn some sides of sports if your into that.

Russ Martin, one of the most popular voices on North Texas radio, was suddenly silenced Monday, the victim of a format change.
Live 105.3 abruptly changed from talk radio to all-sports talk. Its new name is The Fan.
"The (Russ Martin) show is no longer with the radio station at this time," said David Henry, KLLI-FM's senior vice president and general manager.
"We feel the sports format is the biggest possible audience we can get."
He denied Martin's dismissal had anything to do with his much-publicized arrest this summer in Southlake following an argument with his girlfriend.
"You know what? It's just a change in direction," Henry said.
Martin did not return calls or e-mails seeking comment.
He was perhaps the closest thing Dallas-Fort Worth radio had to a shock jock. Sometimes brash and abrasive, he was always entertaining to his listeners.
In 2001, he underwent a vasectomy -- and broadcast it live on his show.
"The guy's got talent," said longtime listener James Wallace. "The station has a following that they do not even, I guess, understand. And going to a sports station? It doesn't make sense to me whatsoever."
Wallace was so disturbed by the change he drove to the station's Dallas studio to protest.
"He was their money-maker," Wallace said. "Russ Martin is what made this station."
The station started alerting listeners to the change by playing nothing but college fight songs Monday.
In a press release sent out after the announcement, KLLI announced its lineup would be anchored by the Jagger Show from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by market veteran Kevin Scott and former NFL and Texas A&M football player Greg Hill from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The station's midday show The Ben and Skin Show moves to the afternoon drive-time slot of 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by Pete Stein and Mike Rodriguez from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Nowhere to be found in the lineup is Martin. The popular host had occupied the coveted 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. slot.
Martin made headlines in July when he was arrested on three misdemeanor charges, accusing him of assaulting his girlfriend.
He pleaded not guilty and his case is set to go to trial in January.
The move to all-sports talk echoes moves at other CBS Radio stations in Detroit and Baltimore.
"We felt (it was important to) get it on now," said Henry, the general manager. "It's December, the Cowboys are still in the playoff hunt. Lots to talk about right now."

I found out today. I like Jagger, and listen to Russ occassionaly. His whiny nature is played out. It just really bothers me that they seemed to have done focus groups and come up with a sports format over the previous. Everybody I know, and its ALOT, listened to that station for the humor and light hearted nature. NONE car about hearing bullshit about sports on the radio. Any of you guys listen to Jason Ellis on Faction Sirius/XM? That ************ is crazy.............crazy funny. Way better than what you get on normal radio.
