New car, need new tune
Alright I am new to the LSX community and am happy to be here. The car I bought is an 02 T/A with Mac midlengths, offroad y, borlca CB with MTI lid and tune.
This summer I will be putting in an MS4 as well as 1 7/8 headers and a new y pipe with cutouts.
Is there going to be a problem getting this thing retuned with whoever I go with? I dont have any kind of handheld tuner with the car so I am ASSuMEing that this car has some kind of piggyback system or whatever these f-bodies require.
Will there be an additional fee for removing the old tune?
How much roughly to tune this w/cam?
Who is the best in the Houston area for making these MS4 cammed cars run nice?
thanks

First, congrats on the purchase. There are a few sponsors that are in the Houston area that can tune your car: LMR, G-Force. I would contact them. They can answer all your questions. The PCM is tuned/modified on an F-Body. MTI did some work for me years ago and I got a discounted rate on the tune. But they are no longer around. I know some of the guys at LMR and they are close to me. Thats where I will be going for my next round. What side of town are you in?
