What is your fuel pressure when the car is in the on position, running, & under acc?
Im curious as to what everyone fuel pressure reads while the key is in the on position, when it is running, and under acceleration? My autometer fuel pressure gauge reads at 20 when its in the on position, ~30 when it is running, and under accerlation it lowers. Also, the more I drive it, the accelertion begins to rise close to 40. I think my gauge is off, but I still dont understand the reason for the inconsistent fuel pressure reading? Is this usual? As some of you know, I got my fuel pump/regulator/filter changed about a month ago. Things just havent seemed right with my car ever since. Also, does anyone in the San Marcos/Austin/SA area have a fuel pressure gauge I can borrow? I want to see what it reads.... Also, my MPG as of my last fill up with 8.5mpg! WTF?!

Even when the key is just in the on position? And the pressure should rise under accerlation, correct?
Lethal did the work, I've been back a few times (the car died on me while driving etc etc). But to be honest, I think I just got a bad pump from the get go.

Autozone loaned one out to me for a $150 deposit... Anyways, I just got done. The PSI is as follows...
Key in on position... 40psi
At idle....58-60psi
Under acceleration...55-58ish psi
now when the key is in the on position its at 52psi
I posted this in the fuel section a while ago, and one of the sponsors was saying its not normal for the PSI to drop under accerlation. But I've had a few say it was normal. Can someone clarify this for me?
Also, it seems to me that when my car is off. Its losing some of the pressure... which is why it showed 40psi, but then after driving it was showing 52psi.
Any info/advice is appreciated.
Patrick.

That's a pretty big drop, on my old car i ran the racetronix hotwire and their pump, never had a drop like that when spraying. My current fuel system is boost referenced, so i experience a drop to about 40-45 when boost hits, then it spikes about 65 as the external pumps have kicked in.
