I don't know what the big stink is. I honestly hate receiving text messages and I generally tell them I don't receive text msg's on my phone just so I don't have to waste money replying back. Why not just send an email? Or better yet if you have an iphone, use bejeevie or im plus and send me a free push notification powered msg.
I guess one cool thing will be the sending/receiving of contacts via vcards but other than that who really cares about mms? I guess it matters to people on the other end that don't have iphones (capable of receiving the same content through email) or something.
For that matter when are we gonna get tethering support? Now there's something that matters. Give me bluetooth tethering and I won't need a starbucks again.

Yay expanding 3G!
My phone is fucked up, but I've talked to several apple "special" techs and they all say its my area, so basically I pay for 3G but run on ******* Edge network.
My sister who didn't update her phone, lives at the same house, still can use 3G.
Once I updated to like 2.2 or something, I got raped.
And you can't get previous versions once you've updated.
YAY!

Btw why aren't you running version 3.0 of the os? Why 2.2? Upgrade should be free for iPhone users.
You should also post up on the macrumors.com forums as I'm sure someone will know how to help you out.
And get a mac while you're at it.

BigLittles, I believe it was the 2.2 patch that initially messed up, my phone is currenty up to date with 3.0 or whatever. I still have no connectivty to 3G.
As far as downgrading, apple "experts" can't, and quite frankly I don't want to have to go out and download a torrent just to get back to working like it should. Apparently I have to bring it in for them to correctly "diagnose" my problem.
And no, I will never own another apple product other than the iPhone. PC has always been more than I have ever needed, and have never had any problems like those commercials suggest, my PC will outlast, outperform, and continue to cost less than half the price of a similar product from the Mac line up.
