Lol that field Knew my old jeep really well. Also worked at the oreillys right there at the 249 spot. Used to get offwork and sit in my car until cars started showing up, was awesome. Anyone remember brittmore/ airtex?

ah Rankin... fun times back in the late 90's. Can't leave out Airtex, Holmes rd, Center Street, Miller cut-off.... I'm sure there's more I can't remember right now.

yea i remember that one. that was neuhaus street. then there was the road behind the airstrip that everyone played on. someone got killed on it so they put poles in the middle of it. then eventually just dug it all up.. then theres the area where the 610 ship channel bridge sits. before that was ever built it was a 6 lane wide dead end road that everyone ran on.

rankin and spikewood was the **** back then...im sure i was the first one to put a set of slicks on the "wrong end" of the car (CRX) on the streets...LOL
we raced an 11 second mustang and barely lost..i was in the passenger seat trying to figure out why the car was missing and my buddy drove...(the mustang owner was wally i think)
everytime i would get pulled over and the cops see my set of slicks in the car, they would asked me why i have them..i told them im just out there spectating and the slicks are for road racing...
those were the days when a 12.0 second car (traction limited) would beat most cars on the streets..LOL
I also raced eric stubbs a few times down center street and fairmont...i think i was one of the few that could hang with his mustang back then!!!

Yup.. I remember all the good ole days. I was 11 years old hanging out with my dad in his Z28.
Center street was the main spot, then rolling out to spikewood/brittmore
^^ And Eric Stubbs.. lol.
Anyone remember Shane Simpson? Thought his Mustang was the **** then it was slow as dirt even on the bottle. Or a 97 Z28, went by the name "Candy Cane". John Campbell had a nice LT1 too.
