Default Trouble with HPE

I went to HPE a while back and had owen tune my camaro... it had been having some cold start problems since then... I called hpe several times leaving my name and number with joel so that the owner would call me back to discuss the problem with him. I later called (4th or 5th time) and asked for the owner. The person on the other end of the line identified himself as the owner. I asked if he retune for free and he said the best he could do was hook me up a little. I go to school and work full am between houses, and have sleeping condition so im tight on my time. My friend agreed to to take my car to be tuned for me. So that evening at work i get a call from my friend. He tells me the owner doesnt know what the hell my friend is talking about when he says he is supposed to be hooked up. So my friend puts up the other half of the money so he can drive out of there with my car and go home... 45 minute drive. So i end up having to pay my friend back money i really dont have to spare. I started my car the next morning and it does the same surging it was doing before. So not only am i out the money but my car still dont idle right till its warm. And trust me when i say the iac is fine and there are no vacuum leaks. The car acts like the maf sensor is bad... (new maf and new pigtail to it). Well anyways i keep leaving messages with horsepower engineering. I have left my name and number once more after all this and they havnt called me back. I put this story up as incentive for hpe to do the right thing. I hope this is just a misunderstanding.

HPE or A.dvanced R.acing D.ucked?? Owen owns A.dvanced R.acing D.ucked, and he can't fix a lawn mower, let alone tune it. HPE is another story, Smashing Pumpkins lead singer sold it, so they're phucked, lmao....

I had my tune once done at HPE and they made 15rwhp more over my previous shop's tune. I also had my work redone at HPE and have never had any problems, they always took care of me and on the streets everyone always thought I was stroked or blown not knowing I just had a mere H/C stock bottom 346, just based on how hard my car ran.

Went to HPE for a clutch and they screwed me big time. Then had Mike @ G-Force fix the problem and never looked back.

G-FORCE is the place to go.

You still have to do your homework with sponsors. There is a shop in this area that is a sponsor that can't tune either, is known for shoddy work, and is more worried about a few $ than keeping a customer.

The bad thing is that sponsors have been protected in here with threads being deleted so the word doesn't get out like it should.
Honestly, dealing with a bad sponsor makes you question all the sponsors. If I was a sponsor on here with a good reputation, I wouldn't want them associated with me through here.

Default Retunes

Youguessit:
You asked me to adjust the tune without being on the dyno. I asked you if we had tuned it, you said yes. I said if you just want the idle to be adjusted I would charge 50.00.
Well when your buddy gets here, he says when can we get our car on the dyno. I said you will be first. Therefore, we spent and hour and a half retuning a your car. We charge 125.00 for retunes, its been the same for 5 years.

Odd. You'd think if a customer wasn't happy with the product, the company would fix it. I'm glad with the choice I made, 110% happy here. That's just my .02
