Default Front Spring Compressor HOU

Any one local do these any more if you bring the strut assemblies to them out of the car? Swapping springs on my front QA1s, I'll pull the shocks out since I'm doing tubular upper and lower A arms so it'll all be apart. There used to be some local guys who did it for not much but it's been a few years, saves me some time and hassle of not renting a spring compressor. Just dont want to take it any where and have some one mess it up

Bring them to me and I will do it $30.00. Only cause I like your car. I live 5 minutes from Ottos.

Thanks man, I'll let you know when they are out of the car.

Raf,

I wouldn't think a place like that would even touch it unless you knew some one there who could do it on the side. Plus being after market parts they may try and stab me.

I took mine to a local repair shop, 2 mins from my house. He put it on a hydraulic spring compressor and bam. No charge.. and I even came back for readjustment.

Well just a heads up since they are QA1's you could just back the adjusters down and you don't need a spring compressor? Since you are swapping spings I am thinking you are going to have to adjust the ride height anyways. Just a thought. Jack the car and back the spring adj's off and then remove them change springs and A arms and reinstall and adjust ride height and get an alighnment. GL!
