Is that what you're trying to say?
or one side of the sc is a vacuum and the other side blows into the engine. I gotcha

I really don't see the car needing more power. 122+stock trap speeds? From my experience with my SC'd mustangs, 120mph is about all you can really handle on the street. More than that, you are just modulating/feathering the clutch and throttle, and really can't use all the power unless the roads are clear and safe.
505 is plenty, if more needed, then mod it.

Anybody somewhat serious about racing can trap 125+mph.. Hell, H/C sprayed ls1s trap 130+mph.. Ported/pullied cobras are right around there..
Plus, its fun messing with bikes!

yeah but the cars trapping 130+ are like 9 second cars. 120 is still fast for a street car. Especially a legal car.

on another note... Super chargers have a displacement all on their own. They do not really add to the displacement of the motor. I believe that the displacement of a motor is rated in the short block.

but the sc's are sometimes rated in liters, though right?
I figure with higher compression in the cylinders, it is like cramming more air and fuel in than usual which makes more liters. The only reason you're getting extra power from the sc is because of extra fuel and air being forced into the cylinders.
A stroker kit does not make the block bigger, but it makes the strokes longer and I'd also say liters and ci's. With FI it seems logical to me to say the liters go up.
No matter how big a given foot is, no matter how big or small the shoe is, the foot will remain the same size no matter how you get it into the shoe. That's how I'm thinking of it.

The displacement isn't measured by how much space is in the cylinder. Its measured by how much space is between top dead center and bottom dead center of the pistons. A stroker kit ups the displacement by making the piston able to come down more in the cylinder.

You might want to check some facts before posting. The LS9(ZR1) uses the LS3 as a base and not the LS7. As far as LS7 superiority over the LS3, stock motor to stock motor yes it makes more power. For modding reasons the LS3 beats the LS7 hands down everytime- thats why the LS9 starts as a LS3 and not the LS7. Ls7's are truly awesome motors but their comp. ratios and pistons do lend well to making other than N/A horsepower.

and that superchargers are for getting all those pesky hp's made from just adding a supercharger to the Ls7, because thats what happened...all this new info makes my head hurt!

however i dont see how an ls3 at half the price and almost a full liter smaller than the ls7 has more potential. are we talkin FI or NA?

Only thing I see happening is GM going direct injection on all of their V8 motors.
Does anybody know WHY the LS3 block was used?? Or...... are people just going to keep saying that its better because its in the ZR1?
