Default New job!!!! need opinons

I just joined a MLM (multi Level Marketing) company last week. Due to private policy I won't say what company. I just wanted to know if any of you guys have done one of these and do they really work. I have already went through many people including friends and family who have been saying it's a waste of time, or a scam. I really believe in this idea and I am looking to make it work. Any advice will help, thanks

stick with it, a lot of nay sayers will come and go but in the end its your decision and you are gonna be the one with the $ if you invest your time and continue hard work. doesn't really matter what company but if you feel like you are doing good then no one can judge based on missinformation and people that weren't willing to put in the hard work.

MLM isn't for everyone. In my experience these things rarely, if ever pan out. They project all of this big money, opportunity, etc and its usually a hard sell and you end up burdening and making your friends and family feel uncomfortable in telling you no, they're not interested. IMO most MLM companies are all smoke and mirrors.

Just so you know, i do have a REAL job. I work only 10 hours a week and make over $75,000 per year. Not trying to brag, but I have so much time right now that I'm tired of just sitting around the house and not being productive. This is why I joined this MLM company to see how it works out. The funny thing is, it has a product I'm willing to talk to others about and there is no selling skills needed. There is alot of negative information on these businesses that are MLM, just wanted to know how it worked out for those who tried it. Either way, I am still going to stick with it through thick and thin.

how do you make $75k a year working 10 hrs a week? i need something like that. even at my highest income over the last 6 years since being out of college (i'm 31) i only managed to make $29k in a single year with most years being in the 23-25k range, or less like 07 where i made $11k and 08 where i made $18k) granted i only worked half of 07 and about the same in 08

granted that year i had ~ 2 months of unemployment, however i also had 7 weeks of a $28/hr contract job. I think i got into the wrong field. most of the IT jobs i had were between $12-$18/hr w/o benefits. i quit one job $15/hr w/ benefits to take the $28.25/hr job without them only to be laid off 7 weeks later, ugh.

I've been in the Navy for over 11 years. I'm an E-7 and all I do now is delegate. It was not easy getting to this point, but it's the pay-off that counts. I didn't see any advantage in going to college, start life with a debt, and not have a secure job waiting on the other end of that degree. Let's just say I am blessed to be where I'm at and I do know the meaning of hard work. Besides that being what I do, to answer the other guys comment above, most MLM companies look like a pyramid. That does not mean they are a scam. It's all about the product and if someone is willing to buy it. If they recommend the product to others, they can benefit by referring it and the company will compensate. Also, I did make $20 so far and I've only been in for 2 weeks. Not like it's a rich over night thing, but I do see what it takes to build a network and make money.

If i had a BA, i would noteven apply to a job that makes less than 46K.

I also wouldnt apply to a job with low chance of advancement.

to GOHOME
these companies have bad rep for a reason. I would use all thatfree time you have to educate yourself so that in 9 years you can retire from military and do what ever it is that you would enjoy...

My new GM is a retired E9. managed to get his Masters while in the Army. Now he is banking army retirement AND bringing in another 70K - 90K doing something that he enjoys.

Default Job

From my experience with stuff like you have mentioned. Its a whole lot of bull and money moving. But I have never went through with it after the initial i never went back. Its good that you are doing it as a second job.

As for the guy with a college degree, I agree if your not making $40k+ your wasting that degree. IF you do indeed have an IT background/degree and your not making $80+ your not doing things right. Average IT guys 70-90 first year.

Use your extra time to start your own buisiness. The MLM thing is a joke ! Seriously... you know it or else you wouldn't be asking anyone their opinions. When i got out of college i was desperate and needed a job went to about 30 interviews in 7 weeks ( no joke ) then with about 900 bux in my pocket and a kid on the way i started my own company. Im 26 and doing just fine. You have a head start with a good paying job.. now its time to make some serious cash. Don't waste your valuable time messing with a sceme like that.
