Default Corvette crash, man dies in North Harris County

I saw this on the news this morning. A man in a Corvette racing in North Harris County (249 area) crashed and died. the news stated he was racing a yellow Mustang or Challenger. The yellow car never stopped.

Does any one know of this or who the people racing were, they said the guy in the Vette was a 54 year old male. looked to be a silver Vette split in two, hard to tell though.

Every time a sports car wrecks, it is now a street racing incident.

EXACTLY! Not that no one has ever crashed during a race, but it is a very rare thing to happen. Well let me say that atleast with the people I have seen and been around. I can only thing of two times and one of them no one was even near the guy he was just acting a like a fool and ran into the concrete barrier with his Cobra.
Prayers for the guys familly and friends though.

The wreck was right as you get in to Pinehurst. Where the north and south bound lanes come together. The time of the accident they show was right around the time the power went out at my house. Right after the power went out a bunch of cop cars were driving by with there lights on.

This is the same stretch of hiway where the street racing Cobalt guy killed his girl and 5 other people less than a year ago. I had to go around this wreck coming home from shopping last night, I didn't even try to look at it but I knew it was a high speed fatality because of all the law officers on the scene that was was wide spread debris.

My wife who works at the post office right across the street from the wreck told me he was racing a Yellow Mustang who fled the scene. My son saw the flash of light from the pole break about 2 miles away when the power went out.

My prayers are out.
