LMAO @ red light ticket
I just got my 3rd notice from a red light ticket I got back in August 2009. It still says no penalty, except "You have not responded to our previous notices. To avoid further enforcement, immediately send in your payment". Which is identical to the first and second notices. All it says to me is "pay the ticket or we'll keep wasting our money sending you letters."
And y'all don't even say they can keep you from re-registering your car. The letter was sent on 3-4 and I got my car registered 3-5.
I pulled up a pic cause it ****** cracks me up.
There's a video too, but Idk if y'all can watch it.

The funny part to me is the cop pulling out behind me. I got caught in the middle of gears and just threw it back into 3rd and punched it, soon to find out a cop was waiting to do a right on red. Got pulled over, car was searched for drugs and then (notice the date) went to Papa John's up the road for a free pizza. lol

Someone did that before. They wrote a check and then took a picture of it and sent it in. I think the story said the next correspondence was something along the lines of, "That's really cute. Send in the money or we are issuing a warrant."

lol I oughta send a pic of the cash.
They can't issue a warrant. I already got a letter saying nothing can be done as far as warrants and that they can't even report it to a credit agency. They threatened to keep my car from getting registered, but I just disproved that less than a week ago.

lmao. NICE. Love how the cop is sitting right there.
The story goes, the police sent him a picture of handcuffs, he sends the money... I think?
Edit: Yep. More or less. http://www.snopes.com/autos/law/handcuff.asp

i thought as long as you broke the plane of the first line before it turned red, it wasnt considered running a red light. Anyone have a reference to the traffic law that can clear this up?

Well from what I read in another post, the camera people set it up to where even if it is a "legal" pass through, they catch you on camera, therefore boosting their budget AND the income of the local PD.
Cause the PD does get a chunk of what is collected.
