at 30k feet. In-flight WiFi rocks. Going to Vegas for a Microsoft convention.

Yeah its bull **** they say you cant use ur cell phone yet you can use wi-fi and all other bull ****... airline companys are retarted they just want to charge you out the *** to use the pos phones onboard

alot of airlines took those pos flight phones out cause nobody ever used them. and i know a pilot that used to work for continental and he even said that a cell phone wouldn't mess the planes instuments up cause the signal they send out isnt that strong. hell ive called people before i even landed to make sure my ride was on time.

They tested it on Mythbusters, some cellphones do interfere with the planes tracking systems, its only certain kinds though forgot which.

here it is

MythBusters examined the "myth" that mobile phones are banned aboard aircraft to force passengers to use the airline's inflight phones. They concluded that this is "busted." Their tests caused no interference to a small airplane's avionics, but did so to unshielded equipment. They concluded that interference could occur aboard an aircraft if the shielding was not working correctly. [11]
