carmax?? boy im glad i got a fre 30 day warranty. so i recently picked up my 2000 ss from car max for a lil over 8k. not to bad in my book. bone stock with 80k mikes on it.
i bought the car april 2nd and well im glad they gave me a free 30 day warranty. i know i should have bought an extended warranty with the car but modding it will just void that. so no point to spend the extra cash.
anyways i drove the car to work today and well the damn tranny is slipping!!!
i was on the free way at about 50-60 mph and the car was at oh 4.5-5k rpm's. yeah no bueno. so i get to work (at carmax) and i go to try and pull the tranny dip stick out and its stuck. came out before and fluid was good. but i couldnt get it out this morning. take it to my service writer and luckily my 30 day warranty isnt up.
they are gonna take it to a shop on monday and have the tranny looked at and more then likely rebuilt. im kinda sad though havent had the car a month and the tranny **** the bed

Way ahead of u. I asked today before they took the car and was told no. That they have to rebuild it to factory specs. Which is ok for now I guess. I'm still completley stock.

At least the trans will have a 6 month warranty... Raise hell with the manager about the car being in the shop during the 30 days and they will extend it for you.
