Default BBK ssi intake is this waste of money

I have a ls6 intake installed but want more HP gain. Would a bbk intake be a good choice? It's used but I think good price for upgrade.

i've heard mixed reviews about the bbk......heard about fitment issues and also i've heard it gets to hot like 1qwk408 said but at the same time ive heard that if you have an n2o back fire with a fast or a ls6 intake.... that they can shatter and or crack cause the material they are made of. but i just guessing thats some jack donkey messing with the bottle and tuning when they dont know how to.

but from what ive seen and looked into fast is the way to go if you can afford it.....

how much you want for your ls6?

Thanks everybody for the info. I'm new to this mod stuff and owning a ws6 trans am. I've had people tell me the car has a ls6 block, ls6 intake, long tube header, borla catback system, baby cam, under pulley. About how much power should I have with this little set up?

The BBK isnt perfect but its a good intake. The heat soak everyone screams about is a joke. I never lost any trap speed running my car at the track several times in a row so heat soak is not an issue. The bottom plate is bad about not sealing well. I just ported mine and welded the bottom up. Is a FAST better? Could be but my car with heads, 232 cam and BBK made 450 at the wheels and ran 7.2@96 MPH
