Me neither but the silver looks great on that car. I had a few black cars before and it's so hard to take care of and you can see all the waves and stuff so I am considering the silver. I was wondering what everyone else thought though.

Alright so Tuesday is the official day. The car is already sanded down just need to finish taking some trim pieces and side marker lights off. So excited!
Not sure what's going on with the wheels though. He said this week or maybe next but I haven't gotten any info yet.

Black is cool but your bodywork better be good. I wouldnt do a single stage paint, but thats just me. I think they look good dark blue with silver stripes down the car. Maybe more gunmetal than silver. Then midnight pearl in the clear.

Yeah I was thinking about doing the dark blue like it was but it might be too late. Single stage is fine as long as it's the right color. With black you really can't tell the difference after both have been wet sanded and buffed.

Black is fine with single stage. I know some colors work, but I still wouldnt. I would just rather have the extra layer of clear on the paint. When I actualy paint my toys, I end up spending stupid money, but I want to paint to look good ten years later. Always figured if I was going to do it, I would do it right.

I fix up cars to sell them so it doesn't matter to me haha. I have seen cars come in from when I first started working (two years) that were single stage black and they looked as good as the day they left. There is a two year warranty though also. I am sure the body work won't be perfect so if I go single stage black ($400) it won't hurt me that much, can always have it repainted base coat and get the body work perfect later on which is what will end up happening.

My problem is if I start, it will be all out. Thats why I usualy drove butt ugly cars/trucks that were stupid fast. My "It will just be a stockish rebuild." usualy ended up with 4340 crank, h-beam rods, good heads, bla bla bla. Whole hog or nothing.

Been there done that. Got out of cars and into roadracing motocycles. Fun and payed good, then an injury and no more. Of course I got out of cars because my perfectly restored 70 HEMI Challenger got run over and totaled by a drunk illegal. With me in it. Oh well, time to build a 408 for my truck, you know, a stockish rebuild. Maybe turbo's. Stockish enough for me, Chevy has offered turbo's before.

Forgot to take some lol. Definitely ready to have it back though. But man the inside is absolutely filthy, they sanded it with the windows down. Still can't figure out why they do that, think they are just being dicks.
