Default $20,000 - What would you buy?

I just sold my 2005 Cadillac CTSV. When I initially bought it, I financed 31,000 and was tired of being beat to death to make the $600 car payment. Finally sold it today. What should I replace it with? I want something fun - the caddy was fun. I only want to spend 20,000 and It has to be new enough to be financed.

Some ideas...
06-07 reg cab short bed chevy or gmc, 5.3 auto.... give it a good stance, then turbo it. Still deciding on 2wd vs 4wd.

Another ctsv.... lol.

anyone?

I thought about that. Unfortunately, I traded a c5z in on the CTSV because I have a daughter. Not sure a bank will loan on it either.

ill second that, you would have a better chance getting a loan through a credit union, instead of a bank.

Why do you feel the need to finance something to begin with?

Why not just get something that you can pay cash for and save the rest.

I used chase and got my car financed at 4.4%. My credit union told me 7%.. They don't always have the best rates. You can always find (as I put my flame suit on) an new edge mustang GT. They can be had for way under 10K with decent miles. Keep the rest of the 10K as save it. Thats the best thing to do IMO. Save.

It seems like it would be alot. But 4.4-7 is only like $10 extra a month on a 4 year loan. So yes in the end it's $500 more but I wouldn't notice 10 extra dollars a month out of my pocket. Plus most banks won't loan on anything over 8 years old. And some only 6.

I just sold my cam only C5 Z06 that made 435/405 with a built rear end and 3.90's for 18+ 2 days ago. Car was a lot of fun and had less than 5k with the mods.
