Default Anyone know a notary?

My Dad needs one. He sold his old house in Pearland and needs my mom (his ex) to sign the deed to give to the new owner. It has to be notarized, but she can't find her driver's license. However, she did find a debit/check/bank card with her picture on there, but his stupid-*** credit union still wouldn't notarize it since it's not a Texas driver's license. I mean, he's simply been a member there for 20+ years, his dad (my grandfather) has been there for even longer, and my parents had a joint account when they were married, etc.

Would a notary accept the bank/check/debit card with the picture ID?

Yeah, we'll have to do that. I told my Dad to take all of his money out of his accounts and go somewhere else. This ticked me off. Both parties have to be up there, and so they went up there yesterday and today.

I'm a Certified Texas Public Notary. My boss had me become on and get certified so that I could help with contracts. If you haven't found anyone else to help shoot me a line and I'll see if I can help. I'll look through my guidebook to double check the required identification; I think we can use alternatives like a passport, (maybe a bank card), SS Card, etc.

Notaries are very common. Both my wife and I are one but down here in San Antonio. Check with a bank or even city hall. Most attorneys have a notary on hand as well.

His/her bank most likely has a notary. That's where I went when I was in school.
