I'm up here on a business trip for two weeks and it's going to hit the negatives here this week. My company just bought me 300 dollars worth of nice Carhartt cold gear. I do contracting work for oil companys and those companys are hiring like crazy up there. 26 dollars per hour plus tons of overtime. I was talking to a guy and he said hes going to make over 100k and this is his second year working for them. Also, I was driving by a fast food burger place and they were hiring people starting at 12 dollars per hour!!! Flipping burgers and making decent money, damn. This place is a boom town because of the oil industry. If y'all need a job, come to North Dakota.
Also, so far I've seen only a hand full of import cars. GM and Ford only up here. Its a pleasant site to see. However, no hot girls and no fbodys

Halliburton and Schlumberger, baller oil companys, are hiring anything from diesel mechanics to frac pump techs to drivers. Both are great companys. Seriously, the oil and gas industry are going to explode. The economy is getting better, Republicans are taking over congress, and we're trying to end our dependence on foreign energy.

I know all about cold weather. I grew up just south of Minneapolis, Mn. I used to play outside as a kid in jeans and a T-shirt when it was -20! I've been in Houston for about 13 years, and now when it gets below 40 degrees, I don"t even go outside! LOL!
