Default Where to get transmission rebuilt in DFW area?

My 4l60e gave up the ghost, I'd rather stay local (texas) than order internet long distance. Can anyone help me? Where's Donnie with Prostreet when you need him

i dunno what he'd charge for a trans rebuild, but i had my stall and shift kit put in by a guy named Mike Miller. Think his shop is called " Mike Miller Performance Auto Repair". The place looks kinda shady, but he does good work. Takes cash only though, so if you need to put it on a credit card, he's not your guy.

Also, i think Jason from Texas Drivetrain Performance had a post with pricing on a stock rebuild 4l60e for about a grand installed if im not mistaken. id check him out too

Agreed - Jason at TDP

I trust and have used him exclusively on my f-bodies for my tranys and rears, as well as some of my friends.......and we aren't necessarily easy on those items

Good luck !

I have one already running and in good condition from a 99 Vette I can sell you. (Stock)

Or, you can try Trent at Specialty Transmission in Duncanville. He built my 4L60E for the track and I run low 10s no problem and it has lasted a long time. His number is 972-283-3013. Over 13+ years of experience.

Can't speak for Jasons auto rebuilds personally, but his T-56 and MN12 rebuilds and installs are fantastic. I have referred 2 vettes to him and both came out great. Standup guy and usually works pretty quickly.

Jakes performance. Jake is as good as it gets but fair warning he dislikes the 4l60 as much as most of us. If u can swing it go for the 80 he has lots of options and is great to deal with.

Hey man, It's not a stock rebuild from Trent; it uses top of the line aftermarket internals and built for racing. Not much tougher than that.

Chase - built408
Jason - TDP
Jake - Jakes Performance
I heard DPRock does rebuilds as well.
