uuummm i could be wrong but on an ls1 if you throw a 4 inch crank in it comes out to a 383 on an LQ9 6.0 the cylinder bore is bigger which with a 4 inch crank should make it a 408, ls2 with a 4 inch crank i believe is 402 so if it has an ls1 unless he re-sleeved it and punched it out i think hes bsing you. i could be wrong though.

Yah.. wished there was a good give away that shows its a 408 .
Truthfully, I'm trading him something worth alot less than the car.
It has quite a bit of suspension work done to it too. All UMI stuff.

IF it is a 408 and IF it was sleeved to have bigger bore and a crank for stroke in an ls1 I'd probably pass on it because of the wall thickness on an ls1. It would just be a matter of time where you would have problems keeping the block cool. my .02. why are you in the market for another anyways i like your camaro much better than that.

Iron block great. Aluminum block no thank you. Wall thickness after resleeve is not something I would desire to have. Even on an Ls2 4" crank bored. 60 over is a 402 right. I might be wrong. Can it be done ....yes. would I take that chance
....no personal preference I guess. Now if like I said it was an iron 6.0 to start I'd do it

What you need is a cubic inch tester. Sanctioning bodies
use them to determine engine size rather then requiring
head removal.
