Now that your through with the Kindergarden throws You do realize that Im an arms collector and marksman, so call of duty=FAIL, and there are no squirls where I live, the South African Boerboels keep them under control.LOL, Its not a money thing either after optics, target aquisitioning equipment, and the ARIES System it will be approaching 20Gs. Im was curious to see if any owners would step up. If youve ever shot the two youd understand their differences. Each one is unique in its own way

well if you're such an avid arms collector/marksman, you should probably know the differences between the two, especially if you've fired them both before

Are they both bolt action? I know the M95 is, but not familiar with the other, i like semi autos, so that would simply make my choice if the 82A1 was a semi.

M95 is bolt and 82A1 is a semi. Both have the clips though, to lazy to open another tab but the other Barrett BMG rifle is a single shot bolt action.

I've been thinking about getting one of them myself. I am still torn between the two. My reason was just to have it (I have a 5.7 because it was one of those things I thought was cool (And it's even cooler supressed ). I know a certain member of this forum actually sold his to pick up a Cheytac because it was better at 1000. If I get one I'm just going to to a Nightforce or a Leupold w/ a BORS system.

Now we are getting somewhere There is a definate cool factor and design concept on the 82 that second to none, but the 95 seems to be more practical for additions plus the fixed breach is a perfect platform suppression. I figured like all threads someone here is bound to own one or the other, but after some serious thought it looks like Ill be picking up the 95. The ARIES system from Shooter Depot is going to work better on a fixed breach. If your not familiar with it check it out, its a lot different than the screw on cans

Me Likey!!!!

I had a deal come up for some fun little toys, but with an NFA Pre-Ban stuff is WAY to expensive. For the money I can get a 82A and buy optics for a little more or get a 95 and the optics (w/ BORS). The rounds are stupid expensive even for just b/s ammo, but then again you look at the shell you are firing vs a .308, .270, etc.. The one thing I've been told by a few people now is the Barrett is one of those that will never lose any money just because of what it is. But again guns aren't the best to "invest" in.

Now for ultra quiet I'd love to build/buy a 300 blackout one day.

Youve touched on some very valid points however NFA guns are not for everyone. It is true the OE rounds will set you back around 1.50-2.00 a round but yet my .50 Eagles cost about the same. I will definatly be reloading and hand loading my own anyway. Besides, dont you know the feeling youd get when you soft load 660 grain bullet and it goes PPPFFfftttt instead of KAFUCKINGBOOOOOMMM!!!!! Im not streaching it either Ive heard the Barrett Lite .50 on that ARIES and I tell you its impressive. the damn system is expensive but worth it in my opinion. I have the system on one of my HK M91s and it can be moved to any .308 rifle with the purchase of new base mounts. I am also aware that you can own 3 screw on cans for the price of one ARIES but I cant help that 300. blackout AKA 300. black? Is that the AR based rifle that Shawn Cody and his bunch pioneered the round for?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JySble4nTIQ

Sounds like you need one of each to me.

I understand the "just because" factor. I've been wanting to build a .338-06 just because. Post pics when you get whichever one you do.

HAHAHA!!! Its funny you mentioned that. Last night around the table with some dealers, in an indepth discussion, the decision was to pretty much get them both. Since anything with Barrett name on it will likely never depreciate it should be a win, win. Just because
