Default polishing stock LS1 valve covers?

Well I'm think about polishing my valve cover and I was wondering whats the best way? I have some billet wheel polish but it seems like there's a clear coat on them.

Also post some pics if you have some polished valve covers! If I don't polish them I think I'll paint them the same color as my fast intake

Lowes has some polishing compounds. Get the ones for soft metal. They come in sticks. Start with the rough cut and work to a fine cut. It works decently quick so don't grind on it. I used the hard metal compounds on some stainless headers and they turned out very nice. I just used a little angle grinder with a white pad they sell.

I have done a set, sand them smooth and buff them. Start with sand paper course enough to get the job done and work your way to finer paper. Buff with a buffer and compound you buy at a hardware store. It's alot of work.

Very nice! Wanna sell those? I'm looking for a set of polished valve covers but I don't want aftermarket ones.
