Default Looking for someone to weld me a new bunghole (lol)

In the middle of my longtube install, we realized the Ebay headers have the driver side o2 sensor bung on the outside rather than the inside.

Either cut the frame, or make a new bunghole on the inside.

Can anyone do this for me?
Really don't want to pull the headers out and take it to a shop lol...

Or do they make "short" o2 sensors?
Any other ideas?

Is that heat shield or frame? If heat shield I think you could pull It off and modify it or just pull it completely off..

There is a heat shield there, but its shielding brake lines I think, don't really want those getting hot lol, I don't think it would clear the frame even at that point though.

Badump, looks like I can just buy a bung, drill a hole, and have someone weld it in, just can't take the car anywhere lol.

How's some beer sound? =P

Still laughing at the title. Dude,,, you crack me up

On a serious note, I have the same problem with my Pacesetters on the wife's car. The passenger side O2 sensor is inboard and the sensor wires are always grinding on the trans pan rail. I need to take the header off and have the hole (not gonna say it) drilled and welded into the outside of the header or, at least moved to a better angle.

Let me know if you find anyone willing to come to you to do this.

hahaha, I found the o2 bungs for sale online, just really would like to find them local so the car isn't down for another 2 days waiting on one stupid part lol.

My buddy says he can "weld".
I think he meant "spray molten metal at it"

If someone could come by and just tack it in that would be awesome, then I can put the sensor in and drive it to a shop.

Running with one o2 would probably be bad, right? lol

If you find someone to tack it, they might as well just weld it. It would only take 20 sec to do. If you was south of Houston I would do it for you.

Getting carbon and other impurities in between the bung and header would be your biggest problem. Yeah, maybe MIG could tolerate it, a TIG would have a hard time.

Pull the headers and take them somewhere to be fixed.
