Default Dodge Viper wreck true?

I just heard a customer picked up his Viper from a local shop, crashed it, and died this past friday night. Is this true? If so, really sad.

i attended the dyno night hosted by houston performance driving at seriousHP...it is true my friend...and it is a real eye opener for all of us gearheads who let the adrenaline get the best of us sometimes...this fellow took off down the two lane uneven blacktop roasting the tires...not the time nor the place to show off...the end result was loss of control taking out a light poll destroying the car, the passenger suffered a broken collerbone and broken pelvis, you can find a couple pictures of the wreck if you search the supra forums

It's sad in life people have to learn the hard way to understand how dangers something is.. I’m no different it took losing my best friend in life to understand there’s a time and place for stuff like this.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the lost one and the one in the hospital.

It's really not that difficult to post pics. I hate going on a link-trail.

Here's the wreck. Looks horrible. It's hard to believe a passenger came out of that alive.

That is sad to hear. But FWIW, if somebody picks up their car after some performance upgrades are done, they should get a feel for it before just hauling ***.
