Keep messing with it, pulling the wheel left to right while turning the key. It will eventually unlock. I wanna say pulling it left while turning the key used to work alot of cf members. I got so mad one day I pulled the wheel so hard it broke whatever pin holds the wheel and hasnt done it since lol. Just keep tugging on the wheel while turning the key on it will eventually come loose.

if you get it unlocked you need to get the clb kit from corvettes of houston... http://corvettesofhouston.com/43-cor...mn-lock-bypass ... i have a gm "k" harness that i would give you... supposedly it's a dealer installed column lock bypass but i found it in my car and it wasn't even hooked up lol... i don't know how it works or if it would even help you in your situation though

yep totally plug and play and will prevent this from happening again... it needs to be unlocked when you install it though because it won't work if the wheel is still locked... just keep pulling on it and turning the key as said above and hopefully it will pop loose then get the clb kit installed asap

Ok I noticed that my key fob isnt working. It used to unlock the doors & pop the trunk & it does nothing. Car will start. But just stays locked. Been going & yanking on it doing this & no luck. But will keep trying!

Will the Key Fob cause some of this problem since the key is chipped?

hmmm not sure about the fob... you could also try pulling the #25 fuse for the bcm in the passenger footwell and leave it out for about a min then put it back in and start the car and see what happens

The CLB comes with a cigarette lighter adapter that should unlock the column lock.

Check fuse 23 in the passenger footwell and the battery, these cars get real weird when the battery is under voltage, should show around 13-13.5 volts when running. I never had a problem with mine unlocking, however; I did get that message along with service column lock message even when it unlocked. I ended up bypassing the column lock relay with an LMC5 kit from compliance parts. You will need to get your column unlocked though, they have an unlocker as well.

You can raise the fuel cutoff to 250 MPH. I am not aware of being able to tune the physical locking out either. The LMC5 install requires that you remove the locking relay, of course the wheel needs to be unlocked before you do this. Then the LMC5 plugs right into the harness at you BCM in the passenger footwell.

Same thing. Connects at different places I think. The one from COH connects under the driver side knee panel, while the LMC5 connects at the BCM.

In either case, usually people are able to get the steering to unlock by turning it vigorously, then flipping the key. If this doesn't work, then you can just wait till you get your CLB package, it has a adapter included that plugs into the cigarette lighter to disable to column lock.
