Exclamation My Turbo LS1 Miata Track Video :)

Hey guys... finally took my girlie car to the track...
on my 225/45 street tires...

Car makes about 630'ish rwhp & 580rwtq in the track video...
Weighed it finally without driver 2660lb's... With me in it 2800...

Idled off the 60ft... then stabbed it. Slow shifted to avoid breaking anything...

Anyway...

seems a little slow to be pushing 660hp/580tq, especially for a 2800lb car. maybe that's me. i can see wheel spin being a big problem with that hp/tq. fbodys run 11's with nearly 1000lbs more weight and about the same power/tq.. maybe even faster.

sweet car anyways.

lol, f bodys run 11's in the 350-400hp range... a 660hp f body should be in the 10s EASY if not the 9's with a good racing setup.

This miata has enough power to be in the 9's at 2800 lbs

^^^

Look at the 60ft and trap speed. It's definitely a solid 10 sec car. Just needs a tire and a little more practice. Nice work!

You've certainly got the MPH, I can imagine it's a bear to handle with that kind of power on street tires, just keeping it straight and off the wall is an accomplishment enough!

It doesn't spin from a 40 punch on the street.
It's weird...

Thanks for the compliments.
Its definitely a fun car...
It's not crazy on the street. It points straight at all times even when it's spinning.
The car is stupid easy to control.

He already ran 138... being able to get in the throttle sooner with better tires and powershifting it to keep the boost up on the shifts would easily get it to 145... You figure out what kind of ET that would result in with good tires. 145mph on just 630rwhp is booking.

Cool build.

Wicked Setup!

I got a question though, how are you returning the coolant from the turbo? are you just using a scavenging pump?

I am assuming you have a two step to help with launching on street tires?

I Tee'd off the water pump in/out hoses running to the heater core.
No pumps.
