Mr. Well seasoned Racer and Center Console full of track slips, I'm wondering why you aren't a bit worried about that lack luster 1.8 60'? Does your spidey sense have it all under control?

If you don't like the responses and just reply with snide remarks, go cry somewhere else...

Pretty simple, that sixty foot as mentioned, as well as temperature (efi thing?), and the need for a larger converter are 3 things that will be key areas. Converter will drop the 60, imagine your previous 1.7, now a 1.8, if dropped to a 1.6 with a nice converter would knock 3-4 tenths off, quicker 60 footing allows the car to get down to business on MPH, that will gain.
Would be great to find you ran 26" tall tires before and 28" tall now, would be comical not to mention.
As for the track conditions, my 6 speed 6.0 swap has nailed 7.1s constantly with mid 1.5 60 foot times every outing with the same combo. But being carbed, it probably helps with the dense fuel charge I assume. Cold or warm and muggy, I should probably bracket race te POS.
You need to make a few changes to straighten out and maximize results, suspension is a must, do you have the car lowered? Relocation brackets? I assume maybe and no. Too much variables lacking to increase potential. If you ran a 28" tire with a 3.73, you should pick up with a 26" tire, but these are things you probably know I hope.
Good luck.

Come on out with your car this weekend and see how it does. Lots of people are bracket racin F-Bodies at RPR. We are bracket racin both Saturday & Sunday(Start around 1 with TT and Elims around 4 to 5). You can test n tune between rounds. The track prep will be better than any Friday night.
I have been here just not posting much. Work has been busy but look out it is summer break now!!!!!!

Any reason you still haven’t changed your stock suspension?? Are you trying to see what it will do as is or just haven’t got around to doing it?
That will help you a lot!
Damn that ****’s heavy 3800lbs
Just something to look at..
My car weighs 3340 with me in it... I haven't cut anything out of my car.. Just took stuff off that wasn't needed I still have my seats in the car.

The old adage is that if you remove 100 lbs from your car, you will run the 1/4 mile about 0.1 seconds faster, which corresponds to about 10 hp (100 lbs=10hp=0.1s). This is an okay rule of thumb, but it is not that accurate, so the above data table is the exact calculations for removing weight from a 2850 lbs vehicle (the weight of my Shadow with a 200 lbs person in it). The numbers work within 2% if you go all the way up to 3500 lbs or down to 2200 lbs, so this table is pretty accurate for determining horsepower and 1/4 mile time changes when removing weight.
Please note, I used the 'Approximate 1/4 mile equations' posted in the Formulas section, but I altered the ET equation. I used 6.357 instead of the 5.5 as the weighted constant in the ET formula because I felt it reflects a more conservative scale for weight loss and 1/4 mile times.
That will help you a lot!

hey just wanted to say that i took my car to the scales and with a full tank of gas it weighed in at 3500 lbs so my guess was a little off lol

Hey i took my car to gforce and GFORCE told me they couldnt tune my car until I could get a new throttle body... they said that it would only up to 60% throttle.... so I got a new throttle body and fuel pump and took it to them to tune it... gforce can confirm that

Eric you called us to tune your car because it was doing crazy things with the ac on we didnt spec or put together this combo. You bring the car in we put it on the dyno and notice on the scanner the TB is only opening around 70-80% and the fuel pressure is dropping. You come pick the car up fix the TB and fuel pump. We tune your car fix the driveabilty issues, it makes 416 rwhp unlocked, 433 locked, and 453 locked with the cut outs open. You pick it up take it to the track it doesnt run the number you think it should and now thats our fault? There are dozens of reasons cars have a bad night at the track, we werent at the track with you either times so I cant tell you why your car slowed down, the best guess we can give you is the conditions were not as good as the last time you ran it. Remember your car is only making in the neighborhood of 425 rwhp going down the track take it to the track again and see what it does.
