Default G-Force tuned 453 hp.. TRACK RESULTS

well here is my dyno from last week
453hp 408tq locked

i took it to the track friday nite and ran

60ft 1.80
1/8th 7.71 91.45
1/4 12.007 115.52
DA=1557ft
corrected number from dragtimes.com
11.895 @ 116.759 MPH

does this seem right to yall? im thinking it should be alot better than that
especially since i ran it april 21st with a makeshift tune and with a broke throttle body that would only open up to 60-70% throttle..those numbers were

60ft 1.77
1/8th 7.65 91.74mph
1/4 11.90 116.88mph
DA=1173ft
corrected numbers from dragtimes.com
11.839 @ 117.56 MPH

now im just curious if anyone of yall might have an idea of what i need to look for or any input cause the power on the dyno sure does not translate to the track with results

also my mods are

01 z28 A4
afr 205s
fast 92/90
pat g cam
30# svo injectors
3.73s
3200 converter
LT/ORY and cutout
26x10.5 mt dot slicks

Doesn't seem so far off. Get a better converter and 60' better and you'll be happy. Full weight?

Couple of things:

Did you ask G-Force about this before you came here and basically say "my car is 1.5 tenths slower after they tuned it"?

The air was HOT this past Friday night - especially compared to April 21st

What all suspension is on the car? I would first start there. You running stock maf or any underdrive pulleys? Once you get your 60ft dialed in try out some of the ram airs like chris1313 or ssra. Seen time after time cars drop .2 to .3 on there time. It's possible that you car is hooking better and bogging it down off launch but doesn't seem right cause your mph at end is the same. Mayby new found power blowing through the worn out tranny possibly? Or blowing through the converter?

well if it was blowing thru the tranny and or converter then how did it put down those high numbers.... but that very well could be the problem....tranny fluid does not smell burnt either... i already checked that after a pass... im kinda stumped at this

I have about the same mods you do and I run in the 7.0 class ....but with this heat I run about 7.1 to 7.28 with really hot weather.

Weather plays a big roll in the track times....

Take some weight out of the car and it will help you alot.

If it was blowing thru the converter if you did a data log ....it would show you whats going wrong with it.. I would see if they would do that for you.

Well I guess the heat is my problem and needing a bigger converter.... so I pretty much got a 12 sec 400+ hp car... I guess I got to be happy with that lol... I'm glad I spent all this money and gained .3 in the quarter over it being just a bolt on car... I'm not buying it being the heat lol

Do you know the DA from the runs you are comparing? What was the wind like on both runs? Did you change the shift points and limiter? May seem like a dumb question, but a friend of mine got his car tuned and the set the shift points at 6k in a cam stalled and bolt on car. I told him to manually shift the car just past 6k and it made a huge difference. With shift extension his car stayed in the meat of his power. Just a thought...

If u go back and read my first post then it will tell u everything but the wind lol... wind was no factor in either days at track... it looks like it shifts at 6500 but idk the exact shift point cause I didnt do the tuning...

There is no doubt something is not right for the car to be making 450 to the wheels and only picking up 3 tenths when it was stock.

Stock making 320 to the wheels it went a 12.20 and now it is making 450 and barly running a 11.90? I know this motor very well and it went 11.20's in a car that weighed about the same as his with a street tune. We did have a bigger stall (3600) but it was also a 4L60E and 373 gears.

I agree he is going to need a bigger stall but the car should still be faster than what it is. There are guys out there with stock bolt on cars on a 100 shot running in the bottom 11's.

I had a full weight 6 speed car with a cage, had a/c back seats and all made 440 rwhp, the car ran consistent 11.30s. I'd say something is definatly off.

Sorry, but your car was never running an 11.9 at 60% throttle. That is just comical to even post something like that. Your car at 60% would be lucky to run a 13 secod ET.

Consider the DA and keep at it.

I would say there is definitely something wrong. I would data log your runs to find out exactly whats going on durring the run to start. My car, cam only, 3740 lbs, made 379 rwhp 356 tq and ran 11.4x at 119. BTW I had a 4000 stall and 4:10 gears. 4l60e and dana 60 in the rear..

SSHawk can also vouch for me.

In the same DA as you I would run 11.6x all day. It is possible that you have not dialed in your car. That take time and lot of data logging. I cant tell you how much of a difference it will make once you get it dialed in but you will definitely notice it. I stressed that to Sean and other friends.
