Hard top to T-top Has anyone done the hard top to T-top conversion here in dfw. I've been wanting to conver my hard top and put T-tops but kind of afraid to do myself. I would like to talk to some people that has done it already, any help will be great thanks.
Done it a couple of times myself. But I will say its not a job for the person who can't do a lot of stuff welding grinding and body work. Paint work is another thing that will make things a lot easier. Selling it and finding a T top car is probably more what 99% of the ppl should do. After removing the top you will need the latches and stuff from a T top car. The support in the center as sell as all the seals and T tops. GL! If you try it yourself.
+1000. Don't understand why someone would ruin a good hardtop. GM didn't make enough hardtops to begin with. I looked at production figures once and IIRC, it was approx a 70/30 split in favor of T-tops. Just buy a damn T-top car if you want T-tops, there are more than enough of them out there.

Sell the hard top and get a T-top car....the hard tops are getting harder and harder to find as it is, and a lot of us would love to have a hardtop, my 97 is a Hardtop and my 95 was a T-Top, I'll stick with my hardtop, unless I get a Vette, then I think I can live with a Targa...if its a coupe and and not an FRC.
