Here is how to get a free vehicle identification background report. Basically use the search term "dealer auto check in:URL" in google and find a dealer link and input your vin number into the window address and viola free history report

Best wishes,

Worked for me! Found out some really cool info about my car thanks! Now anyone have an idea how to find the first owner? Just thinking maybe they would have the window sticker or something along those lines plus they could see their old car. Found out the car was originally registered about 30min from me

dealer autocheck inurl:vin

this is not working for me. i am trying to get the report on a vehicle that i bought in 2010 (i think?)

how much of it is a reference?
do i need to replace dealer with something like john eagle honda?
do i need to replace url with eaglehonda.com?

looks like i need my hand held. any help would be appreciated.

Google search the above terms. First link should take you to an active VIN lookup. In my case, the link is below:

http://www.chilsonwilcox.com/autoche...na2167vt000180

Remove the VIN after the = and replace with your VIN then hit enter.
