Default Plastic bag melted on my Headers

I`m usually good about avoiding stuff on the road, but this plastic Fiesta bag flew right under my car at a stop light and when I took off from the light I didn`t see it fly out from under the car. So we get up to a stop light down the road and I smell what I know for sure was plastic burning. Stoped at several more lights and stop sighns and still the smell. By then I knew it was that damn bag. Well now I got this melted bag all over my headers and I was woundering if anyone has had this happen to them befor and what did they do to get it off. I`m hoping it will all burn off. Not that my headers look all that great to start with. I do have some rigged up air tubes and the coating is that great. I just don`t want them to look any more ghetto than they do now.

I had a melted bag on my SLP lt's for 2 years. I finally removed the remains of the bag along with the headers

The smell lasted 2-3 weeks.

Luck him. I have a Fiesta bag. I would have rather had at least a blue Wal-Mart bag. You and Tony both said I can`t remove it. I might get a silver Foleys bag and melt it over the Fiesta bag to match the color of my headers.

I've never had one make it to my exhaust, but I did find one in my FTRA one time.

Haven`t bought anything there for a while.LOL Maby I was thinking of Service Merchandise. Remember them. Anyway this **** sucks. If I was moving at least 5 MPH it probably wouldn`t have stuck the my headers. This damn cold front today has the wind blowing **** all over the place. The bag looked like the wind shot twards my car and then slowed down just as it aproached my car. I never worried about a plastic bag sticking to my headers but geting wraper around my drive shaft. My Dads new Dakoda(back in 96) got a plastic bag wraped around his drive shaft and it got cought up near his rear end and caused the rear end to start leaking. So far it sounds like I have permant sponsorship from Fiesta.LOL Maby should go and ask for a check or free food.

i wonder if it would be worth while to take a blow torch to the plastic to loosen it up then try scraping it off

dude, that same **** happened to me when I had my 99 Z28. I don't know how but I ran over a milk jug and it stuck to my I pipe and I smelt the melted plastic heavily for a few days and after that I always had this faint smell of burning plastic.
