Default MTI?

Anyone gotten any work or specifically a dyno tune from them? I was offered a good price for a dyno tune and was just checking with people on here as to whether MTI was a good place to go to since there isnt any tuning shops in Corpus Christi

there is a whole bunch of tuning shops in houston. g-force motorsports (board sponser) is having a special right now, i'm sure mike will chime in pretty soon. you only pay once and you can get it tuned for life w/out paying another dime!

MTI is a very professional shop and does great work, if you go to alphabetic sponser list, you can put in your zip code and how many miles from home you wish to go, and check to see what sponsers are in houston (put in how far it is to the other side of houston).

good luck!

If this is kevin I recommeded you to call them. They are really good at what they do especially for the way your car is setup. They have tuned several cars for other friends of mine and as long as they know your complete mod list including the cam they will nail it the first time out. Good luck

Give Mike @ G-Force Motorsports a call. He's having a tuning special for the month of February. You get a complete wide-band dyno tune for $375. That includes liftime tune updates. You don't have to pay money to get your car on the dyno again to make any changes.

I have a T-rex v.2 cam, TR hardened .080 pushrods, crane dual spring kit, pacesetter longtubes, true dual exhaust w/ sweet thunder 18" mufflers, just bought my lid...what do you guys think i will put down on the dyno?

MTI offered me 350 for a dyno tune but it was without the wide band...so 375+ lifetime tune sounds awsome, i have to do some finish welding on the exhaust then on the trailer it goes and looks like i will be going to g-force.

If you are looing to get your car tuned. Jayson at MTI is the best hands down. He has been doing it for over 10 years.

Price for a tune is a price for a tune.

Granted you might pay a little more for MTI but we are not talking about tuning some POS car you just picked up. You have a very aggressive car. Not to mention this is an expensive piece of work, from the sounds of it you have spent alot of your own time and money on. keep that in mind.

It can take months to build a car. But it takes only a few mins to blow it up..

Cheers

Garrett is absolutly right. A good tune will make all of the difference in the world. From start-up manners to idle quality and overall power output, a tune is huge.

That's why it's important he try to minimize the time his car is running before I can tune it. I've seen simple headers installs do wonders on a tune. Some people claim that widebands aren't important, but without one, you're simply guessing. It doesn't matter how many different cars you've tuned, every car is different. Two cars with the exact same mods will need different tunes. Sometimes the differences are small and sometimes they're big. The only way to tell is to get your car on a dyno and use a wideband oxygen sensor.

If anybody here has any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to have your car tuned, don't hesitate to contact me.

Jayson tuned my '94 in '96 or '97 (can't remember) and did a great job.

Spent about 4 hours and numerous dyno pulls, plus drove around on the street to asess driveability etc.

We also drive the car on the street, and use our GM Tech 2 tool to make sure your not getting any knock retard and the shift points are correct (a4 only).

Give us a try.. LT1's are my favorite cars to tune. Since im a fellow LT1/LT4 man...

How far from kingwood are you mike.... Had my car tuned at Mti for 400.00 after paying for the h/c install... They didnt wide band, and my numbers arent impressive with my combo.. they left the tps falling of and 1 wire arching... how much would you guys charge to clean up my tune.. give me an actual custom tune rather than a generic tune..

Until Feb 28 the cost is 375.00 for a LIFETIME (no tricks or hidden fees) tune.
That includes welding a wideband 02 bung in your exhaust and a complete tune.

Come on by or call you wont be sorry.
