Since you were close you should have called me Mike. Dennis, Campbell, and myself floated down the Guadalupe and Comal last weekend. Glad you had a good time!

Holy Crap! How long has Carlos and Charlies been open ? I went to the one in Monterrey, Mexico a couple of years ago when I was there for the CART Series Monterrey Grand Prix and had a blast.

Travis is beautiful but a fluster cluck on the weekends.

Hippy Hollow is a good place to reenact the beach scene from EuroTrip.

1 Bad Z is right. Houston doesn't even come close to the caliber of women that lurk Lake Travis. Everyone just seems so much nicer and the beer flows like wine! I am buying a Fountain with twin blown 502 cu. in. big blocks before 4th of July and I am going back!

Yep. I live here and rarely go. It *would* be great except for the crowds that drink and then start getting stupid.

That's exactly what I am trying to say. There was nothing like that there. Beautiful women, NOBODY had an attitude (Guys or girls) just a seriously relaxed atmosphere. What are you talking about?

There are some great places to go and great things to do. However, some of the places/hangouts are "too popular" so they are jam packed. They're great in their own right, but I like moderate crowds in moderate doses. Some people aren't fazed by it, so it's really a matter of preference.

I've always preferred Lake Austin to Lake Travis for "eye candy"...
