Can anyone tell me how much is a reasonable price on getting a whole new driver side door and painted? Someone hit my driver side door by accident and so far one place says $1800.00. Does that sound about right? Just wondering b/c this is going to be paid out of pocket and I really don't wanna pay that much money on a door if I don't have to....If anyone knows of a good body shop around the NW houston area let me know.

 

I had just my door skin replaced and painted/blended and it was about 900 bucks.

 

Was that a special price b/c of someone you knew? If not could you PM me the details of which shop so I can get an estimate? Basically the fiberglass is broken in 2 places. Kind of looks like a forklift poked it but the holes are a little bigger.

 

$1800 sounds a bit steep to me, but who knows they may have damaged the window motor or something. Keep looking around to see if you can find a better deal.

I'm also looking into the same but not anytime soon I hit a tire on hwy 225 and it cracked the paint on my front clip so I need it painted

 

X-Air my body shop said that they would paint it for $250, + the price of the door. They sponsor my car, so they hood up all of my friends up. You can see the paint job they did for Fun4all, he posted some pics of his car and a model yesterday. give X-Air a call 832-202-9536 they are located in Houston at Hwy6 and W.Airport

 

Mine was about 430, i supplied the door, they hung it and painted it, then painted it a little more because they didn't do it right the first time.

 

I actually have a camaro door sitting in my stall at work. I work at bates custom and collision in baytown tx. Ill sell you the door pretty cheap. Maybe i can see about how much it will cost to run it through the shop. Give me a PM well talk more about it.
